In my A-Log dream universe, I’d hire a local PI to follow him around on a few off days and just see his habits in the real world. Take video of him, what he spends money on.

Just to see what his paypigs might do knowing how much money he wasted on garbage while he cries poverty.
How much would something like that cost?

On a side note since I saw some car discussion earlier.

I pulled the Kelly Blue Book value for a base 2017 Corolla, I'm not sure what trim he had so I just went with the bare minimum. They're not letting me edit the mileage and using ~36k miles as the default for valuing the car... I doubt Phil has put 5k miles on it from what we remember on the leased BMW timeline. Regardless it's a better selling point with less mileage.

His trade in value to a dealership came in at give or take ~$12k
The private party sales price came in at $14k-$15k varying on condition

After taxes / transactional costs / time etc. he'd be able to walk away with $8k-$9k in cash and have $5k in cash to find someone's nice 10-15 year old car that has been garage kept and maintained. If you're patient you'd easily be able to cherry pick a great car within a month's time.

I don't know what the lie is with Khet needing the Corolla for work, pretty sure we confirmed that the Subaru is still available. Kind of funny too because during all those winter storms you'd figure she'd use a car with a much better all wheel drive system for snow roads. But whatever, this is the same people with the logic of owning a new car when you only have 1 day dedicated to leave the house every week.

Are you insinuating that by going out and buying a new car DSP is living beyond his means? When will you dirty detractors learn? It's not that DSP cant afford his current lifestyle, he just cant afford his bills! If he wasn't living within his means he wouldn't be able to get the item he wanted in the first place, now would he? its just paying for it that he struggles with. He just needs his fans to step up more, that's all.

On the topic of why do people like, watch, and support Phil, I have to say that's part of why I pay attention. I got into Phil from finding TIHYDP MGS2 and I thought it was a joke for the first few minutes, then I realized what was going on. I was amazed. Then as I got into the lore and really started consuming media, watching videos, reading forums, seeing more of his personality, I wondered how he could be around for so long as such a horrible "entertainer." How does this guy make money? How does he live life?

But the focus is typically on him and how bad he is and what he does. I have seen people get close to my current curiosity, but never expand on it. And maybe it's in this 4,000 post thread, but I just mean I personally haven't seen too many people discuss it... And what I am referring to is what other people offer that he doesn't. And I mean that as a very kinda separate thing from what does Phil not do that he should. There's plenty of talk about how Phil could fix his problems.

I don't mean to sound like I'm the first person to think of this because I fully understand I'm nobody special. But I guess an example of what I mean is:

I decide to watch someone stream a game (which I already don't understand. I watch walkthroughs/guides for when I can't figure something out, or I watch impressive feats like really cool speedruns, or things like the guy that beat God of War's hardest boss on GMGoW [the hardest difficulty] at level 1 without taking damage), so I go to Twitch. I somehow come to picking between some regular streamer and DSP.

Let's say they're both playing uh... Some team based game. Like a team death match. Now, Phil of course plays his online multiplayer games with chat all blocked and muted, so there's no social interaction there. This means he's now just wandering around doing who knows wtf. So he's not helping his team win. He sucks at games so he's probably getting destroyed. And then of course there's the bitching and excuses and bad jokes, etc. We all know this.

If I look at most any other streamer, and I don't know much about streaming culture because like I said, I don't watch it much because I'd rather play the game myself, but this is a whole hypothetical situation anyway. If I look at another streamer, chances seem to me to be high that he will have his chat unmuted and will probably interact with his teammates. Maybe they're friends of his already and it's a premade, or maybe he joined a group of randos. He will probably be decent enough a human being that if there's not an already toxic group of people there when he joins, that he will strike up a conversation or join in one that's already going. Maybe he makes friends with one or two or all of his team. They communicate, they play the objective, they cooperate to play well. Maybe they begin streaming, or if he already has friends that stream, then I can follow them, too. I can get involved in their group. There's more incentive for me to watch and pay attention to their interactions because they're friends and they're having fun. There's more a chance for in-jokes that makes me feel like part of their group the longer I follow them. That in turn makes me more likely to support not just the streamer I started watching, but his whole group.

My alternative is some antisocial curmudgeon sitting in the boringest, saddest little room, doing poorly at games and talking about all this horrible shit in his life that I'M TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM IN MY OWN LIFE, PHIL. I play videogames and perhaps watch a streamer to get my mind off MY bills and personal shit. I give zero fucks that you got yourself into an unsustainable situation based on over optimism about how long you were gonna be making money, and now you can't keep up the lifestyle. He refuses to even entertain the idea of a lifestyle downgrade.

Sorry for the really long ass post but damn man. I had a lot to vent out before I got too angry and started really toeing that line of A-Logging.

Dear god, another person with this interest. I'm also not very into making fun of Phil per se (although I think even Gandhi would have agreed it IS sometimes fun to kick a low-hanging sac of potatoes right in the stubs), but to me...

Phil is kind of like a monkey that is trying to slap a giraffe with a fish because it stole his adoptive squirrel's watermelon from his underwater coral reef. I know the poor monkey must have been dropped repeatedly onto a baseball bat with brutal force (yes, I do mean the monkey must have been swung head first onto the baseball bat, not the other way around) and is thus beyond redemption, but I am simply wondering why the other monkeys are cheering said retarded monkey on and are even trying to build a monkey pyramid to help him reach the giraffe. What are they thinking? Why are they helping him? Where do they come from? Where did they get the fish to slap the giraffe with? Where IS that goddamn watermelon???

Existential questions, truly...

And I do realize I am coming off as incredibly condescending, but Phil has the tendency to make me act that way. When you spend enough time watching people try to interact with a retarded wall that is made up of even more retarded bricks, you do start to wrongly think you yourself must be a freaking genius.

TBH, finally turning in the BMW and getting the Corolla is one of the few good financial decisions Phil's made in a long while. His payments almost certainly went down, and he could actually keep the car for as long as he wants / it runs.

And if it really doesn't get driven that much, it should last plenty. If he could learn the most basic of self-maintenance skills and learn how to do an oil change; that car should be able to last him 15 years or so with minimal cost. The only hard part, would be finding a place to rent a lift. But we know that'd never happen, Phil would only want the professionals to do it, because he's not a car guy dude *snort*.

That's cute, you think he'll get an oil change at all?

PoopyFrogDolpinLog tipped and asks, "Phil do you change the oil on your car?" Uhh, no! Kat, my wife, does all that stuff since she drives more than me. Just the other day she said she went to Tyrone's garage and he rotated her tires, gave her a full lube treatment, and topped off all her fluids...

why the other monkeys are cheering said exceptional monkey on and are even trying to build a monkey pyramid to help him reach the giraffe
I think i might have something on this. How many legitimately stupid people have you seein in your life that expose said stupidity to the world? Usually the ones that do it are just acting, but Phil, as we can see time and time again in his life, he's legitimately a moron. There aren't that many legitimate morons out there who flaunt live to the world their retardation and this makes him a bit special on why the monkeys are helping him. It might be out of legitimate amusement like you would go to a circus horror show and see a down's syndrome kid picking his nose and eating his own snot and you throw a nickel at him. Or maybe it is out of "What will he do next?" mentality, which is idiotic because he will do the same over and over again. He will not change for good, he will not be positive, he will keep being the same stupid monkey he was.

You don't need a whole friggin lift to change your oil. A $45 set of ramps and a $5 oil drain pan will do.

Lifts are actually pretty cheap too, under $1000

Imagine Phil trying to drive his car up those $45 ramps, or even just using a jack to lift the car. With his luck, he'd either drive right off the lift, or accidentally let the jack go and have the car fall to the ground. Or, worse yet, he puts it anywhere other than a lift point, putting a dent in the floor.

"How was I supposed to know you had to turn the car jack right all the way? Nobody told me how to do it right, there's nothing I could do."

getting rid of the BMW? good financial decision. Buying a brand new car in its place just so your soul maid can drive it? not so much, imo. He should have just got himself a bus pass.

On Phil's day off to spend with Kat, HIS WIFE, it makes me think how strange it is that there's no reports of people seeing him or Kat IRL. I'm not suggesting anyone stalk him, but we all know where he lives, he states his days off, one can guess the few places he'd go, yet nothing.
This got me thinking about something after rewatching darks debunk stream. He’s basically turned every detractor into this organized boogeyman cult so he can hide info from his fans, he couldn’t tell them he was going to the needle with khat, he had to hide his wedding from everyone. He goes on and on about how he has to hide everything he does behind the scene because of detractors but when was the last time a detractor ever bothered him in public? He’s been swatted years ago, but other than that do we have a story a of a detractor doing anything to dark?

Like his adresss isn’t hard to dig up, he’s named his grocery stores and constantly mentions he goes to the mall with kat, I think it’s pretty clear no detractor that has any intrest in confronting him lives near him, or wants to go through the trouble of swatting him or calling any business with intent of harm.

It’s so just weird how he’s managed to turn detractors into the most malicious devil in his life, when 90% of us just passively mock and discuss him. Even on twitter most just laugh at him, it’s a relatively low number that attempt to contact companies that get involved with him. It’s clear most of his detractors just want to point and laugh from a distance, while the minority spaz out on twitter occasionally and and handful waste their time trolling him on twitch.

I only bring this up because of how truly malicious it seems like wings of redemptions haters are, and he doesn’t seem half as scared or dark pretends he is. Wings haters have that dedicated trolling discord, they spam people he plays with to the point he rarely seems to even be able to play a video game online without running into them. And I know recently that had started calling escorts, pizza deliveries and mechanics to his house, and he was also swatted.

Comparing the two “detractor” communities and it’s like night and day, ones a pack of rapid dogs looking to go for the jugular, while the other is a puppy who needs to be potty trained, yet dark acts like he’s the one constantly lives in a state of fear.

I just find it funny how he’s made an eternal excuse out of detractors, when it’s clear that 90% of us just quietly mock him and call out when he’s a piece of shit human, and the other 10% waste their time calling him a pedo in his stream chat only to get immediately banned. I’d be willing to guess the people that constantly call out his lies on this forum make him angrier than any troll that’s done anything to him in public.

But we know that'd never happen, Phil would only want the professionals to do it, because he's not a car guy dude *snort*.

Meh, where I live oil changes are loss leaders for garages so that they can diagnose worn out parts and make their real money since your car is in the garage anyway.

If oil changes in Renton are only $15-$20 like they are here, I can't blame DSP for not wanting to do them himself.
