TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

So, what is Lindsay bringing to her marriage with that Lin guy, given that he's pressed to work for over a year to be able to go on a vacation?

I'm about to get married and we've got vacation time for a honeymoon (US) and he works in a fairly menial job. What's Mr Lee doing that would stop him having any vacation time, did he use it all up prior to the wedding, or get a new job just prior to getting hitched?

In any case sounds like fun times.

She takes back George Carlin from her adversaries.

Bitch, please, George Carlin would have viciously mocked idiots like you. He was a liberal, but he had a complete and utter disdain for politically correct morons like you.

She took a stand against "likability".

Thank god she cleared that up. I was worried there for a minute she was actually making an effort to seem likable and was just really fucking awful at it.

There's something fundamentally wrong with a person who thinks "being likable" is a bad thing. The implication is that the opposite -- "being an insufferable cunt that nobody likes being around" -- is somehow superior. It's not working too well for her so far, is it?

If she's talking about fiction, who wants to tell her that she's on the same page as E;R with that one?

And finally...Lindsay smacks straight men in the face with her rainbow flag.

Straight woman can tell straight men what their opinions should be about gay people, because..? Is this one of those progressive stack things?

I guess some almost not saggy tits-and-ass and her splendid personality... and a few thousand thirsty youtube whiteknights who also finance her on Patreon a little.

How much do we know about this Lin character? If I had to guess, I'd say that he's an H1-B serf owned employed by Amazon or some other incarnation of GloboHomo Inc. (Many of these corporations are insanely exploitative of their employees in general, and immigrants in particular, but they put rainbow flags on their logos in June, so it's OK.) If that's the case, he probably married her for a green card, with the occasional stab at vertical vagina being an optional extra.

I was confused why she was calling her husband Mr. Lin because at some point I saw his name and whatever it was the last name wasn't Lin. That's when I realized Lin is short for Lindsay.

Rumours were that he's some kind of engineer at SpaceX.

Reading through her tweets, I have to ask.

Is she really that insufferable, or is this just an act to piss off the right people and win favor with her ilk?
From what I understand, the more she's online or with people of that nature, the more insufferable she gets, however if she's kept away from those types of people, she is actually very pleasant and even funny to be around.

From what @LordKaT has said about her and her cabal's behaviour behind the scenes at CA she was always a piece of shit.

If I had to guess, I'd say you're both right; if she's like a lot of socially aggressive lefty women I've known, she's very comfortable ranting and raving and sneering in the safety of Twitter, where her posse of e-friends (and Twitter management) will back her up, but much less so IRL, where no amount of likes and retweets can stop you from getting punched in the jaw if you're too much of an insufferable asshole. Being isolated from the group scares the hell out of these people, which is why ostracism is one of their go-to moves against members of the group who step out of line.

Eliza's politics are a little cringe-y, but I still tolerate her. I think it's because she's not as whiny as Nella or as try-hard pseudo-intellectual as Lindsey.

She knows that what she likes is goofy and campy and acknowledges it. I'll take that over Lindsey's need to turn everything into a deep sociopolitical diatribe any day. Yeah, she brings up the LGBT stuff sometimes, but I don't find it obtrusive, since vampires are historically pretty gay. I don't say that as an insult, by the way- I'm being literal. Same-gender romance is really common in vampire fiction.

I also just have a soft-spot for vampires. If Eliza's channel wasn't vampire themed, I probably wouldn't be watching her videos.
What about the fact she at one point was very anti-man, had a boy and pretty much implied/outright said she was going to brainwash him and or not raise him as a boy (I don't remember things too well since it was years ago but there were red flags about what is nd of mom she would be)

I’m sure Mara said something unforgivable like “I don’t think all Trump voters are monsters” and “I’m fine with LGBTQ people but I don’t think censoring detractors is a way to help them” or some completely insane like that! Ugh the nerve of that Matilda bitch!

And as we all know, Lindsey is a paragon of virtue, morality, intelligence, and angelic behavior and is completely reasonable all the time. No way she could be in the wrong. Nope nope nope.

Honestly I have much respect for Mara because I had a feeling that even though she's leftist, she's an old school one where they didn't take things so seriously. Now that's just speculation but going off what I've seen in some of her interviews, she just seems like a down to earth artsy type with a sense of humor. I remember hearing about their fallout and I';m curious just how bad it was. I believe it was something about a donuts shop.

Whoa whoa what? Was she seriously like that? lol

I can't remember the exact podcast, but Mara had said that someone came into the doughnut shop wearing a MAGA cap. Lindsay started REEEE'ing and calling the guy racist and a Nazi, then started screaming at the manager when he told her she needed to leave. I would have been embarrassed to be seen with her as well. Mara made the right decision ditching her dumb ass.

If I had a friend pull that shit in front of me, I'd drop them like a hot potato too. There's no excuse for a woman in her thirties to act like a fucking child towards things they don't like.
