Or, even better, he could've used a platform designed for long form. Twitter is obviously designed for snippets and hot takes, not actual dialogue or essays. I automatically discard the opinion of any exceptional individual who doesn't notice that and misuses it to publish fucking novels there.

Twitter is hot garbage for legal arguments. In real legal writing, even casual legal writing, you tend to go back and correct things to account for something you've realized in the meantime, or to clarify something that may not make sense. On Twitter, even people who wouldn't think of submitting a mass of unintelligible garbled nonsense will say dumb shit, then half-fix it in a subsequent tweet, then go on and mess up again and do the same thing.

If you can't be bothered just to put something in an appropriate medium in the first place, and write it in a coherent manner that indicates you actually thought about it beforehand, why the fuck would I bother reading it to try to decipher what went through your muddled brain as you tweet vomited 100+ tweets of pure shit?

Did a quick look through of the guy's twitter to see what's up- dude's pulling a better "i'm a neutral party" than Shane ever did, so good for him-, and I found a cute little video someone posted after a Skye tweet. They are running hard and fast with the "Vic doesn't know Nick because they've never met before!" Apparently you can only actually care about someone if you only talk to them face to face.

Production quality is better than I thought it would be. Oh, also, in case all of you missed this, Nick's a bit of a meany head and says not nice things.

Edit: for formatting.

There's a BIG difference between bullying and defending someone against bullies.

Nick genesis story incoming:
Vic hasn't gone on Twitter or YouTube this whole time for his own sanity's sake, so I was doing my best to collect evidence for whatever law firm may be up to bat. Fans and friends were sending me screenshots, etc., and I had created a one-pager outlining the case to send to...? At that point, we had hired and fired 2 attorneys who were def not up to the task for various reasons and were actively looking for a new one to stop the bleeding.

I remember when Nick first emailed Vic. Vic forwarded it to me for my take, I looked Nick up and watched some of his content. I found him to be insightful, smart, fair, blunt (bonus points) and funny. I told Vic so and suggested he reach out. Nick was asking him to come on his stream, but we felt that keeping a low profile was best. Vic replied declining the invitation, but agreed to speak to Nick by phone.

Nick, upon speaking to Vic and hearing of the troubles finding the right counsel, referred Vic to Ty. Nick and Vic have been friends for months and have spoken often even though they'd never physically met until this weekend - can confirm.

Nick does Nick. Vic is so grateful for everything Nick has done (as am I) even if Nick's style of coming at the situation is very different than Vic's. When someone throws you a life-ring when you're drowning, you say thank you rather than complain about it's size/color.

Rules for radicals #4:
Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.

They will NEVER call out KVers doing things that Vic wouldn't like, but they will HAMMER Nick and co. for it, because they are radicals. Go read each of the rules and I guarantee you'll immediately think of things they do that fit every single one.

Many thanks for helping the man out, and giving us both a comedy and tragedy.

I know that there are "Son of Sam" laws (at both the Federal and Texas levels) which allow confiscation of any profits (such as from book or movie deals) related to notoriety gained from a criminal conviction. These laws, however, apply to criminal convictions; Vic's lawsuit is related to civil torts.

The original "Son of Sam" law and California's imitation were both struck down as unconstitutional, New York's by a unanimous Supreme Court, and no law operates in that manner any more. The current New York law just notifies victims when a criminal receives profits (from wherever) and extends the statute of limitations for suing the perp.

This is pretty much about what we figured had happened, but thank you very much for confirming. I am simultaneously very sorry to hear that Vic had so much trouble finding an attorney, and very happy that that lead you both to Nick, and thus to Ty. Lord works in mysterious ways.

Confirmed God so loved Vic He raised Nick in preparation to be an extension of His arm to save him.

So I just rewatched the video real quick, because I was too busy laughing at the whole "Vic and Nick never met so they can't actually be friends" and then "No really guys Vic is a hypocrite because even those HE'S never said any of this he knows someone who has so by 12 degrees of Kevin Bacon, Vic is a terrible person", I missed the fact that they took out small clips from Nick's rant about Vic's "Friends" who tried to get him to kill himself, but skipped over that particular little bit of context.

I mean, of course they did, because fuck context, but holy shit. It'd be a real shame if someone would add the whole clip of that, everytime someone reposts that little edited video. Would sure make MoRon and Friends look like monsters. Would sure seem like B U L L Y I N G from them.

If you're ever unfortunate enough to be shopping for an attorney, remember that the chances are good that the lawyers who advertise their services are basically ambulance chasers. At least some of them are, and you might not know until it's too late. They're looking for cookie-cutter cases that will earn a quick buck. That's not to say that they wouldn't be able to competently represent you if you have a run-of-the-mill wrongful injury or criminal defense case, but a customized complaint that isn't a cut-and-paste of all their other cases might not be something that they'd necessarily want to do, or have the time and resources to fully commit to.

If at all possible, it's always, always best to get a referral from someone you trust. It sounds like Vic was really fortunate to be referred to BHBH. Nick described them as a "full service" firm, and while that probably costs more, it's really what he needed. It sounds like their rates are very reasonable, too, which obviously can't hurt.
