She uses it for Bienfu in Tales of Berseria as well. Also Vee's contraltos all sound the same. Darkness sounds so much like Velvet it actually makes the Konosuba dub funnier if you've played Tales of Berseria first.

I've never played Berseria, but I found that she makes a good copy of her fellow voice actress when playing Darkness, so she sounds like an incredibly perverted Artoria Pendragon. Also, she provides a slew of voices for a mobile game that are decently distinct. Ultimately though, I like her work. It may not be the best, but it's okay and MILES better than Rial's garbage.

Coding broke on quoting this, so hopefully I got this right. "She's one of the most prolific VAs" is SO misleading. Monica shows up everywhere in funimation's dubbing. The place that's extremely incestuous and Sabat makes a disproportionate number of casting choices in. Monica doesn't get big roles because she's great or well known (I didn't know her name until now, just hated her voice) or even because her voice suits the character. She gets 'roles' because she's in good with people like Sabat. It means she's in a bunch of harem anime with 20,000 women, or in pervy roles where they need a 'kind of cute but sassy girl'. She got in Juuni Taisen because she was Vic's friend (he says so specifically that he picked out friends who he thought would be great in the anime, and he was the one who directed that dub). She's not Bryce or some up and comer that people want to have for name/voice recognition, and she almost never gets the main role. She just knows the right people.

Vic hasn't actually done anything that they can attack. They have to guilt him by association, even when they have to force that association themselves.

Well, it helped T-Series overthrow Pewdiepie when they pinned a shooter on him and damaged his channel growth, so they probably think they can kill Vic's support by doing the same (even though the former didn't decay Pewdiepie's base at all, just caused his subcount to stumble enough to let the T-bots catch up).

She cheats and metagames and struggles to always keep her character separate from herself. She's a regular player in the popular online series Critical Role, so you can see her behavior for yourself. As far as I know she's not a cray political nut, she's just kind of a dickish person in a petty sense.

It's not even just that, it's the fact that she doesn't even try to act any more. The kick vic spergs can complain all they want about how Vic has an easily recognizable voice, but you still feel something when he speaks. You want to know why no one criticizes Luci Christians acting even though she's been in the game longer than anyone else, it's because she puts her all into every single role she gets. Even if the show doesn't deserve it, actors like Luci and Vic will still put an honest effort forward.

Vic's voice is crazy recognizable in pretty much everything but Broly, which he admits himself was way out of his vocal range and basically a role taken by accident, but he still manages to handle his roles well, and make his lines believable. Whether he's playing somewhat cynical Ed, young and naive Obito, high society Tamaki, or sociopath Yuuto, he manages to separate the personality he portrays despite not really changing his base voice. The bulk of Monica's roles are basically Nayuta Kaneko or Index. Pervy little shrill pseudo-loli, or unreasonably angry and violent actual loli. Isolate her clips from the video and you probably wouldn't be able to distinguish which one she was playing at any given time.
