What's the weirdest compliment/backhanded insult you've ever gotten?

I had an art teacher tell me he was glad I was having fun.
(The implication of the statement felt like he was saying I wasn't improving)
Something similar. Had a professor say she could tell I worked hard on my writing workshop submissions.

She did give them As, except the poetry submission she gave a B. But still, not sure what to make of that. Never got any useful critique out of her, either.

"You have such beautiful and long hair" mostly from women.
I mean... i guess i'll take it, since i'm desperately need of acceptance, but it feels weird to hear something like that, specially when I dont really take care of my hair.
I’ve been told I have beautiful eyelashes, lol.

In my tenth grade English class, a girl whom I cannot stand said she cannot believe how smart lurk_moar is. Really bitch you have been in quite a few of my classes. This was over twelve years ago, so I don’t really remember her exact words or name really. All I knew it was a backhanded compliment about me knowing a lot.

My response to anyone who said I was smart was to say "I know." It shuts them up.

I was once ushered forcibly with gleeful joy out into a somewhat busy intersection in [a very large city] and called a "white nigger" thrice over by a very charming nubian fellow. I felt culturally enriched and humbled by his warm and accepting compliment as he ran away to find others to inspire. :)
