This shows that Nyk already had an obscurantist or irrational view of what he referred to at the time as "feminine ways of knowing". His trans-LARP is just a logical continuation of this irrational idea on his part that "feminine ways of knowing" are above rational analysis and therefore above criticism.

Nyk really did at some point believe in ladybrains and believed that you cannot criticize women for their ladybrains. Riddle me this, why did Nyk decide to become a woman? To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Controon’s self-obsessed bloviating. The logic is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the current “leftist” circlejerk, most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Nick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from jerking off in a mirror, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. It’s a cheap ploy to nurture attention and hype. With narcissistic persons, you must understand that they very often conflate their audiences with themselves. Natalie often speaks about herself whilst covering larger issues - through anecdotes and piss poor imitations of others’ POV - effectively amassing the attention for her own ego with the excuse that she is speaking about a greater cause. So the point is moot, really.

I think about this sometimes, while reading troon threads. I'm sure there are cringey ftms, but it's usually just mtfs or non-binary people who get a thread. That's not a good thing, but it made me remember some articles about trannies and... it's always just MtFs, right? Even when disregarding the underlying implications of the term "lady content" and his tweet, there is nothing particularly "lady like" about his output lately. His content for the past six months has been all about standard troonery, terven TERFs, troon surgery, it's not gay if the other person doesn't identify as a man, the olt roit, participating in blow file interviews (which he "secretly" "hates") about how he's going to destroy the olt roit and hanging out with drag queens. It's all either trans or drag/gay male culture related. He must think posting tranny chaser pictures in which he looks like a fruitcake transvestite and shitting out a ~just girly things UwU~ tweet once in a while is what constitues as "lady content".

Guys, I think we are looking at this all wrong.

Is contra a narcissist? Yes, possibly, at least to some extent, but I think that kinda just comes with the territory of being a youtuber -- people who aren't narcissistic in their offline lives still often come across that way due to the filtering effects of online media -- 'the media is the message', and often even otherwise humble and grounded people can come across as grandiose and obnoxious online.

What I think is really going on is that Contra is severely, severely depressed.

Regardless of the reason for transitioning (AGP, legitimate dysphoria, trend following, whatever -- it doesn't matter really), regardless of all that, transitioning is like a form of pseudo-suicide. It's killing your previous self in an attempt to begin anew, albeit in a dramatic fashion. Most typical people who'd want to do this sort of thing would probably just find a new friend group, get a new job, get a new pet, etc. If the person is unhinged, maybe they'll find a new addiction to sex, drugs or alcohol and slowly kill themselves that way. Maybe if they're really adamant about starting over they'll move to a new city and possibly even legally change their name. Changing your gender is just another modern form of this pseudo-suicide and starting over.

Contra is intelligent enough to understand that transitioning will never grant someone the capital-T True and underlying Reality of *actually* being their new gender, no matter and regardless of how well they pass in public. You can't change your childhood, you can't change how you were socialized growing up, and you certainly can't change yourself at the cellular level and modify your Y chromosomes into X's.

Regardless of how much drugs or alcohol are used in an attempt to drown them, memories will always haunt us. We are stuck with who we were, who we are, and it all influences what we will become. Unless a technology existed that could completely wipe away the mind and its memories, consciousness is a continuous stream and no amount of physical changes to the body it inhabits will interrupt that stream. Fictional stories aside, a person simply can never wake up as someone else -- that's childish, magical thinking.

I doubt Contra had a particularly stressful or traumatic childhood, given her middle class and academic upbringing, but her choice to pseudo-kill herself via transitioning seems (to me) to be definitely indicative of her running away from something that she is ashamed or feels guilt and/or anxiety about.

We should feel sorry for Contra. It's a cry for help. She certainly doesn't need or benefit from haters (including us here in this thread), but she also doesn't need or benefit from syncophantic fans who are merely stroking her ego. What she really needs are some true and honest friends that she can interact with in real life. I get the impression that despite having thousands of followers and frequent online engagement, Contra is a truly lost and lonely soul. I am sorry for her. And I hope she gets the help that she seems to desperately need. And I also hope that she can patch up her relationship with her parents and other extended family members, as well as find a good friend group that will accept her for who she is. Maybe then she wouldn't feel so compelled to continue on this suicidal pathway.
