Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

It's worse than that. They're completely disconnected from reality, and are trying to chant their own, alternate reality into existence. A reality where Nick isn't respected, isn't tearing their side into pieces. A side where Vic isn't getting support from the fans. A reality where they're all poor widdle victims of the evil nazipedorapist and his legion of alt-right trolls wot hate wammyns and poor stupid minorities. A reality where Shane isn't a barely functional fucking idiot.

A narrative, in other words. They're desperately trying to set up a narrative.

We saw this in GamerGate. It's why whenever you see some hipster cunt with tidybowl dyke hair and a participation trophy degree in Daddy Issues Grievance Studies wants to mention GamerGate, often in an unrelated piece talking about how shitty fandoms are for not having already surrendered to them, they always do so as a Mantra. "GamerGate, the sexist alt-right harassment campaign against women in gaming,..." It's to replace the reality that GamerGate was just a bunch of nerds that told these fuckers no and refused to bend the knee, and they cannot fucking stand that lesser beings such as nerds did so.

What you're seeing here is them trying to get the same thing setup in the Weeb Wars. It's why Penguintruth is constantly spewing his spam. It's why they're starting to organize in discord and call in lolyers to take drive by pot shots.

They're trying to figure out a magic spell that will turn ISWV into a cartoon strawman supervillain they can all pretend to be fighting.

What they don't understand is that in GamerGate, the games journalists literally already had secret mailing lists and slack servers set up to set narratives, to blacklist topics and wrongthinkers, to break NDAs, and to fix review scores. It wasn't as organic as it seemed, and it only became what it became because they had their own network of autistic types -- like the people on Wikipedia who patrolled the site for any off-narrative discussion and purged it with fire. Part of which in the later years was literally being funded by an Obama era "anti-propaganda" (read: Propaganda) bill.

They don't have that here. So you're seeing them flail about and not understanding why it isn't working. This is part of why Nick points out that this is going to be won or lost on social media. Every time someone goes on Twatter and breaks their narrative or corrects them or points out they're posting old discredited bullshit, it shatters the narrative they're trying to create. Hell, these threads do the same thing, to a certain degree.

You bringing the thunder, my man.

Oh did we miss this one? Rooster Teeth shitcanned their Head of Animation yesterday following the Glassdoor shitstorm. Even better, they are hiring Margaret Dean (of the infamous Crunchyroll High Guardian Spice fiasco) to search for their new head of animation. (my bet is it's gonna be Kate Leth. Because of course it will!)

This exceptional individual is trying way too hard to out chimp penguintruth.

I think it's really hard to be more pathetic than penguintruth at this point. Like Yeah, BT Brian is an idiot looking for attention by parroting the standard rhetorical repertoire that KV has been using for months, but he at least gets 4 or 5 people to throw him a like here and there on his comments. Penguinfaggot has been at work for YEARS trying to get literally anyone to talk to him or engage with him in anyway and the only thing he has to show for it is over 100 episodes of a shitty anime review series, maybe 200 subscribers, and one like every 10 tweets. He the epitome of a failure and a loser and even after whoring out his last shred of dignity by throwing his lot in with KV for one last chance at getting attention, he's come up empty. He's a madman in a padded cell yelling at the walls at this point, forever alone.

Nah, let him keep flapping his lips as it's more amusing that way. The best thing to do is deny them any avenues by not talking about them. I know there are KV people reading this thread. I could set aside some days and read the Ramayana from page 1 to page 1960 and these idiots will be stuck in the same hole.
Asslickers like him are not gonna learn, if they can't see what's happening to FUNI, then RT is gonna be just as boned cuz Shaneon McCummac didn't shut up. Oh well more lolz for us when he cries and gets severed papers.

They wouldn't even need to do that much. Just let him continue to voice Broly. The character the literally doesn't appear in like any part of Dragon Ball currently. Effectively this would just say "We do absolutely nothing" but for Vic's fans that means "We won". It IS that easy. ISWV doesn't demand anything they just want his career to stay as it was. This is something that even Rial and friends could easily live with if they had any braincells. Just think about it: Broly's lines can easily be recorded at a slightly different time to make sure Monica and her trashcan of friends and Vic never meet. It would be so easy if these idiots cared to save face. But they don't
An easy shortcut to understanding the heads at Funimation's thought processes:

  1. Is it a smart decision?
  2. Does it sound like something a rational person would do?
  3. Will it be beneficial in the long run?

If the answer to all three questions is "no," then that's probably what Funimation's going to do.

Yeah, Laura has so far stayed mostly outside the political stuff outside of a few re-tweets of mainstream media 🌈 stuff. And from her 1-on-1 interview on their channel that is mostly because her sister came out and so Laura has gone all in to support her.
I’m not particularly surprised. Gotta remember that her husband Travis Wellingham is probably at least slightly right leaning. That’s why his name was probably on the hit list that I saw back when this whole thing was starting up in January. SJWs don’t like that he supports the military and has the whole “god, guns & beer” cowboy persona going on.

I see what the bs narrative they are going with. Apparently Now they wanna pretend that they want the rule 11 agreement for confidentiality because they want to protect "Victims" identities.
Yeah i call bullshit on that.

These bitches have nothing and are finally realizing their cucking is going to be ridiculed.

Edit - Didn't archive it because its from monica rial thread where its archived.
After months of them saying they want everyrhing public and believing they were gonna parade around 100 women in the courtroom...now they wanna protect victims. Absolute scum.

If you really want to sting Shannon, all you have to do is ask how his lines were during the El Paso Comic Convention this year. A tattoo artist had a more popular booth than him.
Who exactly even is he again? I know a pretty hardcore fan of roosterteeth, or more like ex hardcore, recently he dropped out of caring about them. But I asked him about Shannon and he didn't know who the fuck he is. He recognizes alot of the other people there but doesn't recognize Shannon's name

I find her annoying and she lacks range (this is also coming from other VA's that have worked with her)
But also there was that brief period where she and Troy Baker were literally the only VA's in stock and it was incredibly annoying. (Her Black Widow is a travesty)

Nice that she supports her sis tho. I'm sure she's nice irl.

Apparently Laura and Travis worked on some fetish jailporn type film in 2003?

Allegedly Travis is very bitter that he didn't "make it" in Hollywood. Tbh I'd be grateful just to be a mainstream VA.......

This is why I don't buy their BS. for months they're all gung ho, hang him out to dry, nail him to the wall...but as soon as there's serious legal consequences they're playing it safe.

TBH, if I were him. I would get over it since CR is doing extremely well, and has pushed him to be a very popular name. It's not hollywood, but it's still somewhere that level.

The worst part, or best is they could easily throw him under the bus to avoid getting to pay for his broken dishes on the lawsuit. It might get quite funny, if it were to happen.

He's Ozpin from RWBY, and Agent Washington on RvB.

Their sudden change of heart makes it crystal clear Nick and Ty were dead on that MoRon's plan was to file the TCPA before they were deposed and run to twitter to try to further humiliate Vic. The amount of malicious hatred they have for him goes so far beyond "he joked about a jelly bean and kissed me once and it was inappropriate". It's pathological.
You know, I've seen this parroted a thousand times. "They wanted to file TCPA and further defame Vic."

I don't doubt that. At all. The thing I never understood about that tho...how would that actually help them in the long run? It wouldn't win them the case. Vic and Ty wouldn't have rolled over. There would still be an ongoing court case. Were they hoping the court of public opinion would turn the case around in the actual courtroom?
