It's funny, the head mod wanted to shutdown the subreddit because he felt it was toxic or whatever, but a Reddit admin stepped in saying this.

People got really mad about this because Reddit needs to ban all subreddits that have wrong think.

It is pretty messed up that the admins can strong arm you in to keeping a sub up.
Reddit admins have a weird God complex. Do you remember when the Nomansky subreddit was deleted because the founder hated everything about it. Most of the people at the time believed after a certain point that a sub should become public domain and admins should have all the say. Leaving the founder as a weird puppet mod.
