Well only if Moronica doesn't then still leak the documents. Just because there is an agreement I'm not confident they would actually honor it. They are incredibly stupid.
Nick keeps trying to tell us how lawsuits are long and boring and things are going to start slowing down and getting less insanely exceptional.

It's about the only thing he's been wrong about so far.

I wonder what bullshit Sarah will try to pull after her brother gets a guilty verdict.
Like her "oh he accidently downloaded it from a torrent" won't really fly once he's guilty

If her brother has a good lawyer he'd be advised to plead guilty in court anyway. Proving you downloaded it accidentally is kinda hard when the FBI has access to everything you ever searched for, downloaded, discussed and so on. You'd have to prove that you had no knowledge of what it was and your reason for choosing to download it had nothing to do with looking for CP. I have no idea how far along this investigation is and if he's due in court but when it's concluded I imagine they'll fist him with all the evidence they found.

yeah, if the FBI comes a-knockin', then they've usually got good reason, key word being usual(Kim Dotcom being one of very few exceptions)

Wasn't it just Amber Heard abusing him and Johnny Depp didn't do anything? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Essentially, yes. Whilst there's nearly always a degree of reciprocity in abusive relationships, it's not always equal reciprocity.

In his case, it seems that he would get passive-aggressive with her to an insane degree, probably because he was conditioned to expect mental and physical abuse and so began acting in ways that would provoke it, which is a lesser-mentioned part of the abuse cycle. In its extreme forms, because it can be psychologically straining on a normal person, this sort of behaviour is considered abusive as well, but it is also an expected response to an abuser. Considered in toto, the abuse in their relationship was almost entirely one-sided; she mentally, and on some occasions physically, tortured him for years, then exploited his conditioned behaviours to portray herself as the victim of abuse and propel herself into new career opportunities.

Personally that last bit is the one that really gets to me. She was sociopathic enough to condition a man into behaving in ways that she then exploited for her personal gain.

So I was looking through the court docs topic and I'm a bit confused so could someone just answer: 1) Has the hearing about discover happened yet? and 2) If yes, do we know anything about the results (other than the obvious angry judge)?

Seriously, is there anyone out there who gives a flying fuck what this guy says? Who the fuck is he? I know he got a dox dropped on here, but JFC is he just in some sort of pathetic notice-me-senpai mode?

If I had to guess, he regularly lurks here and notices we post every time he tweets one of these, and it tickles him jimmies enough to keep on doing it, despite nobody else really paying attention to him.

Come on over to the Farms, Penguin. It worked wonders for Shane.

There was a hearing about the confidentiality order back in May 31st. The motion to compel hearing has not happened yet.

It will almost certainly plead out. They rarely bring these CP cases without a slam dunk, and possession is ridiculously easy to prove if the LEAs didn't utterly fuck up. It's ridiculously easy to beat if they did but that's less common. The issue is whether the prosecution's seized evidence is admissible, and if it is, they win.

The mandatory minimums are also so terrifyingly punitive that it usually compels a guilty plea.

It may be the general consensus among your group of tards, but it's not the general consensus among those who are using their brain.

Oh yeah, I saw the Widenheft thing. As much as I dislike Senpai for some of his stuff, I think it's always stupid to strike somebody's video as that's basically going after their money. And guess what, it brings more attention and views since it pisses people off and they want to actually learn about it. I don't understand why people can't just go and ask if they are willing to unlisted or private the video in a PM or something. If they say no, there's not much you can really do and it's not like they can make a video chimping you out for asking nicely. Am I crazy or something for even suggesting trying that first?

He can always try the Nyberg defense
