Also think this was the time the judge thought Ty was Vic.
Yes. But they don't understand is that in a courtroom, only the people speaking stand. Ty was supposed to be sitting down at that time.

I assume this guy is coming in at the request of Casey, because he is more versed with Anti-Slapp. He will sit in and listen to Vic's depo. He will then advise Casey & Co. Weather or not he thinks they have a chance at winning a TCPA.Oh? I wonder what this is? MoRon hires another law firm on the day of the depositions?
Edit: A glance at this new guy's practice areas:

....The implications of this are kind of terrifying. -Casey- said to the court that he wouldn't file the TCPA after Vic's deposition. What then, of this new guy, especially with him being a TCPA specialist?
Might they have brought him on just to get away with the TCPA shenanigans Ty's been combatting?
Also, where the hell are they getting the money for this?
well then that means we can expect Funimation vs the 3 stooges in a year or two. Nice.

But remember, it's not a conspiracy.
What have Laura and Troy done to be included in the cast of clowns?Oh spicy. With dramatic appearances by Laura Bailey, Troy Baker, Sean Schemmel, Sarah Wednhtveihxjift, Justin Sevakis, Marzgurl, Bennett the Sage, and Scott Freeman!
I firmly believe he will do so. That is unless they didn't just hire this dude to file the TCPA in some bald-faced attempted to subvert the agreement Casey made in open court. Either or really. We're getting a TCPA before MoRonica's depositions. That's an interesting take. Casey would have to be planning to openly defy the judge, however. Is he exceptional enough to do so?
I can't believe Casey and a SLAPP specialist lawyer are that dumb, superlolyer status notwithstanding. That's an interesting take. Casey would have to be planning to openly defy the judge, however. Is he exceptional enough to do so?

I think it's really all they have at this point. Unless they have some big gotcha, which I really doubt. That's an interesting take. Casey would have to be planning to openly defy the judge, however. Is he exceptional enough to do so?
At the end of the day, lawyers serve their clients, they can tell their clients that something is a REALLY FUCKING BAD IDEA a thousand times, but if their client still insists on filing anti slapp, not much they can do other than exit the case entirely.I can't believe Casey and a SLAPP specialist lawyer are that dumb, superlolyer status notwithstanding.
Shane, yes. MoRonica, possibly. People who keep brain cells together long enough to argue in front of hostile lawyers? That's A Stupid Too Far(tm).
To make matters worse, if they lose the TCPA, I think they will be liable for Vic's fees. The only good a TCPA does them is the 90 day (?) stay on discovery, which they can use to play to the court of public opinion.... That TCPA will wrap up the defamation... The TI however... it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
That's not a state thing. It's a type of liability. There's joint liability, several liability and joint & several liability. Joint is generally like you and your spouse get a loan. Your spouse dies. You still have to pay the loan back. Several would be each party is responsible for their own portion. Joint and Several would be each party is responsible for their portion as well as the unpaid portions of the others.Isn't Texas one of those states where if one or more defendants can pay the whole judgement they are liable to and then must seek financial compensation from the other defendants? I swear Nick mentioned that very early on.

Where is all this money coming from? Is the bigger conspiracy who the financiers are? Here's what they're going to do. They're going to file a TCPA and when they lose that (or partly win and plaintiffs have to file an amended complaint), they're going to file an interlocutory appeal to a higher court and hope that gets delayed for a long time. Then they might even take that to the Texas Supreme Court because that's just the kind of shits they are.
This case is a niche case and the mainstream media will never care about it. Kickvic tried to drag the MSM into this, but all they can get are a few super lawyers that tweet all day.Yup. Everything is being prepared for a flood of gay ops. The Soupalolyer squad was called in to try and energize KickVic and give them someone to point at in order to say "look, officially smart people say we're not stupid, so we can't be stupid."
I'm calling it now. They're going to file a TCPA tonight. It's going to ENRAGE the Judge. They'll be called into court tomorrow or Friday -- because hey, they aren't doing depositions and the courtroom is now free, so why not -- and have to explain why they pulled their stunts with the TCPA and the bullshit discovery games that are still going on.
All this so they could buy some time and hopefully get SOME dirt on Vic they can use to defame him on social media some more in order to... I guess try and double plus ruin him? So they can reach out to a bunch of other conventions and perform TI on him again? To try and drive him into suicide? Nick knew SOMETHING about Vic and Suicide. It was a trigger point for him, he went off on a rather unexpected rant earlier about that. I'm guessing there's something going on with Vic we don't know, to the point that them piling on like this all was supposed to push him over the edge. So now they're going to try again.
As Nick has pointed out, this is going to be won or lost on social media. MoRonica and their little clique of dipshits thought they would smear Vic, he'd go away and die, and then they'd move on to the next target in their Broken Staircase industry hit list. They were expecting social media outrage mobs to join in and browbeat anyone questioning them into silence. They were expecting media institutional support, like shitheads at Salon writing hit pieces against Vic for free.
They weren't expecting Nick to HONK the horn of Weebdor. They weren't expecting the ComicsGate guys -- who learned how to fight SJWs by networking with the GamerGate guys -- to network with the Anime youtubers. And they sure as hell didn't expect the fans that the Thots on KV all blatantly think are just stupid paypig losers to actually support Vic -- because they fucking hate him and thus everyone else has to, too.
This is going to be won or lost on social media. That's why they're desperate to be able to censor those names in MoRonica's depositions -- because ISWV and the Farms have shot huge holes in every fucking story that they've floated forward.
"He did bad things at Anime Matsuri 2012!" "He wasn't at AM2012."
"He hugged this uncomfortable looking woman, and SHE AND HER PARENTS HATED IT." "Here's her social media account where she points out that she has Social Anxiety and was super happy. Oh, and here's a screencap of the secret Facebook group where you idiots bragged about photoshopping the picture to look worse for Vic."
"HE WAS INVESTIGATED AND FIRED!" "... For eating a Jellybean??"
None of this was supposed to happen. Vic was supposed to fuck off and die for the sin of offending the thots and their pet cucks, and we were all supposed to listen and believe and clap for the brave wammyns.
When Vic's deposition hits, and Casey WILL leak it one way or another, expect gay ops on their side to ramp up. If Casey is all in on MoRonica's strategy, then he's going to waste his deposition time trying to get Vic to admit to gotcha soundbites.
Where is all this money coming from? Is the bigger conspiracy who the financiers are?
This may actually be the first smart thing they've done.
