Let's give Soye the benefit of the doubt and say he legitimately doesn't remember writing some of his tweets, that gives credence to the theory that Rial was also using his account to defame Vic worse than she was on her account.

That's the route i would take as the defamation charge is strongest against Soye, say something like "if you don't remember writing this, it is possible that someone else wrote it on your account and the person most likely to be able to that is the person you live with and has access to your phone and computer." Rope Rial in to the strongest defamation claim

Several people have noted from the beginning that Ron's only hope is to turn on Monica but that's not going to happen. If anything, Monica is more likely to throw Ron to the wolves and, boy oh boy, would that be hilarious to watch.

Unfortunately that would be disbarrable.

Yeah, but there's currently a 50% chance of some Twitter random goading Ron and Mon into waiving privilege to show the world "they did everything correct; they did nothing wrong"

Does he realy wanna work as a lawyer after this? maybe travel the world, become a farmer in siberia, or bringing the joy of painting to cannibals in the south pacific.
something less stressfull than tardwrangling infront of a judge.

Why are you surprised?

Look, I'm sure nick is a nice guy, but he doesn't come across as very well experienced in free speech and copyright issues. Josh has gone through much more trial by fire.

Everyone should know this, and while it may be a strange novelty that some section of Congressional legislation like an obscure subsection § 230 of something called the "Communications Decency Act" is literally almost as important as the First Amendment itself, it's something everyone should know and be terrified by.

While I whole heartily agree, this isn't something that the majority of people are going to understand or accept. Hell, you know as well as anyone on this site that there's a large contingent of people in this country that would love to expand the powers of the CDA.

If those people ever get their way it wouldn't be a very good day for anyone.

He's obviously incapable to turn on Monica, why do you think the wedding's postponed indefinitely?

but that's not going to happen.
Precisely.

Well, given how things have worked out on the internet over recent years, it's not hard to see why the idea of going for scorched earth has a certain appeal.

"It is a mistake to think that transport and communication facilities, industrial establishments and supply depots, which have not been destroyed, or have only been temporarily put out of action, can be used again for our own ends when the lost territory has been recovered. The enemy will leave us nothing but scorched earth when he withdraws, without paying the slightest regard to the population."

I'm hoping that by the time it gets that bad, I'm so old I don't have much life left to lose and can go full berserker.

I'm not kidding.

If she can’t recall her own tweets she better not pretend like she can recall her jelly bean story and hotel story :story:
Reminder her jellybean story was from six years ago
There is no way she can act like she didn't remember defaming Vic hundreds of times for months yet somehow remembered a time where he ate jellybeans more than half a decade ago

I feel sorry for him. Did he have a stroke?
Hes gonna redefine the Eichenwald defense by claiming that he was having constant seizures on Twitter from January to now

Objection! Speculation!
The counsellors are speculating about a stroke and constant seizures which is also guessing/speculating about the actual existence of a brain within defendants head.

I wonder if they'll go after her up further by asking about all of the different versions of the story about Vic allegedly kissing almost totally raping her that she's told and how the details always seem to be different. I'll bet if they ask her cold to describe that situation the story is different yet again. How many different accounts of the story are out there? I think there's at least three from various sources that have been posted here. How many do you think they'll have to ask about before she breaks down crying because she knows her bullshit story has fallen apart?
