I think with Jim determined to move to bitchute & D live he knows the money he makes off of YouTube is going to end soon so might as well stream while he's monetized. So to me it makes sense that he might as well milk it since people keep asking for the stupid hat.
As for the guy who threaten to sue him for something stupid on the internet. I mean that guy has sued someone for something stupid on the internet before so I think I can understand why Jim is cautious of him.

Because he really doesn't, he's just some fag with a nice voice. He has things that gets under his skin and takes a personal dislike to but thats about as deep as it goes.

I'm not sure I'd call that a principled attitude, it could be that Jim is just as shallow as he presents himself.

I don't care about Jim opening up a merch store. It's wise business decision though, he created and inflated the demand for years, and when we reach peak demand, boom, here is your supply. Merch is one of the best ways for anyone with a internet business model to make money. I strongly doubt Jim won't be making a few thousand per month in the coming months. If he take it seriously, start doing cool designs, hiring decent artists, he can make more as time passes.

There is a market for GOOD quality art, and people would buy posters of his avatar, one of many examples. As for the hats price, Tee Spring hates selling hats, and Jim probably had to cut some deal with them.

I hope he makes enough money to down pay a house outside his state, with so much immigrants, new strains of old diseases are popping up left and right.

He has been in a depressive spiral over the latest around of censorship and thinks the writing is on the wall for edgy content, at least on mainstream sites. I will add that he is one of the few personas that could stick it out if he was totally purged. He has quite the "brand" with a loyal following, and I would wager he is one of the few e-celebs capable of resisting the urge to have a full on post-deplatforming meltdown like Ralph and Mumkey Jones did.

Either way I think people are over blowing this merch thing. I was always annoyed by how sacrosanct Jim held goofy internet culture to be. I understand not wanting to be a sellout, becoming some normie monstrosity like the Paul brothers. But at the end of the day, its just a hat and 20 bucks.
