Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

It is still possible to support Trump and think he's doing a good job without being a flaming exceptional individual, especially considering the fact the entire media and dems literally want to see him killed.

Like seriously, what's he done that actually bad? Not just a policy opinion, actually bad? Tell someone in a private convo you can get away with anything when you're famous? Have an affair? Tweet insults at people? He should be in jail for that?

If that's the case then you should be throwing the last 10 Presidents in the prisons.

r/The_Donald is just the mirror image of those people that are still writing a fanfic about Hillary being President. They are speds, there are always speds, on both sides.

The tax cuts were terrible. The illegal immigrant "camps" are super fucked up. The tariffs are a terrible idea and are going to really fuck us over down the line. Fucking up the EPA is also stupid. Denying climate change is going to kill a ton of people.

These are not worthy of jail, but they're things he's done that are incompetent.

By illegal immigrant camps, then do you mean the cages kids were kept in they plastered all over Twitter that turned out to be during Obama's term? Or do you just mean they should just drop the borders and just let people through and give them free healthcare? And denying climate change? First of all, most of us are supposed to be dead already according to Captain Planet. And secondly China probably pollutes more than the rest of the world combined. If this is the best people have for "the most incompetent president of all time". You'll need about 3 invasions into other countries, some civilian drone strikes, Abu Gharib 2.0, and Trump getting blown by 2 women at the same time in the oval office for him to be getting near the most incompetent.

Only tangentially related to r/thedonald but there isn’t a thread for pro-trump cringe akin to the TDS thread, so I’m gonna post it here.

Meet The Deplorables Choir, three Houston moms who love to sing songs about how wet Trump makes them (not literally, although that would be a lot more entertaining)

Their classic is “Proud to be Deplorable” which was a response to the Nike Kaepernick ad

Reminding conservatives not to watch the Oscars, because them being a left wing circlejerk is a new development

FAKE NEWS

Pro Life (you can tell this one is serious because it’s in black and white)

Vote Republican! (Warning: this one doesn’t have subtitles so you have to actually listen to it for the lyrics)

Here’s the rest

They have a Facebook page too but it’s just basic bitch boomercon memes

And to tie it back into r/thedonald here’s some dudes thirsting over them

See this is why I'll never claim to be on the "smart" side.

I am referring to the kids dying in cages without adequate healthcare. Sure, they may be illegal, but that doesn't mean you can lock them in cages. That's fucked up shit.

Climate change is legitimately established science. Denying it just makes you look like an inbred retard because the science is settled. It's not going to kill everyone, but it's going to fuck up entire ecosystems and entire countries are going to be under water. Denying climate change is legimately as retarded as being anti-vax or being a young earth creationist. You can literally see the effects of it right now. It's not good. Even if China is polluting more, who cares? The US is one of the biggest polluters, per capita, in the world.

Let's be honest, you weren't complaining about those cages in 2015. You're as easily (mis)led by media as the rest of us.

Climate change is legitimately established science.
Yet every prediction turned out false 🤔

Climate change is real, but how significant anthropogenic climate change is, isn't clear at all.

The illegal immigrant camps started under Obama, who was very big into deporting and detaining illegals, although the MSM didn't put him under scrutiny for it like they did with Trump. The ICE controversy is just Trump continuing what Obama started.

Tax cuts and tariffs are bad ideas, but the tariffs aren't as bad as I thought and personally, I don't think Trump is seriously committed to the tariffs, it's more of an economic form of grandstanding and saber rattling.

I agree with you on denying Climate Change and gutting the EPA being very bad ideas.

It doesn't help that far-leftists like AOC and many SJW's use legitimate fears over Climate Change to push unrelated agendas and justify dismantling capitalism, as making climate change a partisan political issue tends to turn away normies and make more moderate right-wingers sympathetic to the fundies and oil company shills who actively deny the existence of climate change.

HHH is relying on an old trick employed by political hacks everywhere: Dwell solely upon the shortcomings of your opponents, while never addressing those of whoever you're shilling for.

It's not a bad trick. In every political contest, each side knows and can prove that their opposition is an idiotic pack of sons of bitches. It's a good argument because it's generally true. Sadly, they're all right about that.

This is one reason why Trump has been politically effective: He puts the focus on the most pathetic members of his opposition. Let's just say they're never ready for that particular close-up.

But they think they are, and in their blind narcissism they cooperate.

That's why this is the best timeline.

I wasn't even aware of those cages in 2015, but if I had been, I'd have been just as against them then. I am not blindly biased towards the left, either (hell, two of my most frequent posted threads are the Antifa and reddit troon thread).

The predictions have been off a bit, but they were certainly right about the more extreme weather and sea level rising. There's zero reason to not work on cleaning up our carbon footprint. The worst that happens is that we have cleaner air. Oh no, that's just horrible.

My main political agenda is environment based. We live on earth. We need the earth. Why anyone wouldn't want to clean it up is beyond me.

This is why you need a case of your own in addition to "the other side is corrupt idiots" that pretty much any candidate can claim.

That’s what fucked Kerry, Romney, and to a lesser degree Hillary, they didn’t have many ideas of their own other than “boy, that other guy sure does suck, huh?”

They weren’t even wrong, imo, but none of them gave any indication that they would be any better. The only thing worse than bad ideas is no ideas.

I was specifically thinking of Kerry on that, who literally ran a campaign that was nothing but "Wow Dubya sucks." Well, yeah, he did, but what do you have to offer, you weird, Lurch looking motherfucker? And he lost.

My point is that you let journalists set the agenda on what you care about. You yourself could be exactly in the middle between left and right (an impossibility, but let's assume one manages it), but if you let them set the agenda that is meaningless, as you will only care about the cages when an anti-establishment leader is in charge, and forget about them when press stops reporting on it when an establishment candidate gets in charge.

When people want to spend more on this than is spent for example on NASA, there needs to be a well supported case for doing so.

The paris accord costs trillions (for europeans, not for smart americans who reneged) and the estimated results by their own documents is.... quoting from memory so may be slightly off so I'll be generous.... a reduction of 1 year over the next 90 years. This despite various scientific support 8 years ago that we only had a couple of years until there would be an irreversable temperature tipping point. Emmissions have only grown since then, yet we still have not reached the promised tipping point that we should have passed twice over.

Is it good to have clean air? Yes. But it should be a cost/benefit analysis, not "clean air at any cost".

We all want a clean garden too, but would you pay $10.000 today to clean your garden? Of course not, particularly since you know that there are cheaper ways to do so. So the cost/benefit analysis should be made and we should understand it as well as possible.

There are plenty of reasons to have a skeptical attitude in regards to anthropogenic climate change and to proposed solutions to deal with it. I'll not get into it deeper in this thread, but we can hash it out in another if you want to.

And if I'm wrong, and you would still want it clean AT ANY COST, then put yourself as far into debt as possible today and give that money to a paris accord like foundation. That's what at any cost means. Would you find it worth all the money you have? Or should we consider cost/benefit?

The thing is it actually did suck when Obama did that too. Our border policy is frankly inhumane and this is no way to treat children who have no blame for the condition they're in. I think we can be a better country than this, and Trump openly glorying in such sadistic behavior does actually piss me off.

Yep. It's fucked up if Obama does it, it's fucked up when Trump does it. Anyone defending that shit just because the other guy did it too is also a piece of shit.

And if you handwave the issue just because you don't like the people bringing it up, you're engaging in a particularly ugly version of politics-as-war: refusing to criticize your own side's support of reprehensible behavior because doing so would meant that those damn OTHERS would be right.

I agree and I'm glad I didn't do that.
