Isn't this point in support of Vic not being a public figure? He just named more than a dozen voice actors who are far more well known and popular. Is this guy stupid?

Why yes. Yes it is. And Vic wasn't playing along to self identify himself as a public figure. Emmett is very stupid.

Aside from MAYBE Frank Welker, Peter Cullen and Kevin Conroy, are any of those considered to be in the "voice actor community"? I mean, good to know that Emmett Initiative is all for ignoring: Kiefer Sutherland, Cary Elwes, Michael Keaton, Dakota Fanning, Patrick Stewart and Uma Thurman, who have actually done ANIME voices. But most of those are major name Hollywood stars that HAPPEN to have also done voice work. That'd be like asking Derek Jeter if he knew any higher profile baseball players and then mocking him if he said no because Michael Jordan was kind of a big deal. But, I'm also not sure it's to Vic's "benefit" to claim he doesn't know any people in the "voice acting community" that have more celebrity than him.

To be fair to Vic he said "I haven't thought about it", not "I don't know any". You can be a voice actor and celebrity but not pay any attention to what everyone else in the field is doing, which shows he's more focused on his own work and fanbase as opposed to cloutchasing and comparing himself to others.

It's like asking any random streamer if they've heard of Ninja or whoever the fuck is popular now. They might, but just as likely can't be assed to name who the biggest twitch thot or FotM streamer for the FotM game is when all they want to focus on is streaming their speedruns of Barbie's Dream House Adventures.

Hmmm?

Maurice LaMarche, - no idea
Frank Welker, Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy, Peter Cullen, - probably the best known Voice Actors in North America. But would they be Public Figures? Mark Hammil maybe as he is universally recognizable. as Luke Skywalker (but is even that enough? The public knows that character. How many can name any other roles or anything else about him?) Conroy, Cullen and Welker are only recognized as their characters. They could walk into any store or restaurant on the planet and meet no recognition until or unless they did the one voice of their famous character. Batman, Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Will Ferrell, Susan Eisenberg, Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Julie Kavner, Tim Curry, Kristen Bell, George Takei, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers. Most of these are better known as live production film actors that did do some VA work, but aren't well known specifically for it. Even in the case of famous characters.

You KNOW his voice:

But, fair point on whether or not he is a public figure.

Well, no shit he wouldn't know. He doesn't have a computer in front of him when doing the deposition and works with anime. And, he wasn't familiar with Kiwi Farms and PULL, so he's not internet-savvy. How often do you see celebrities voicing in anime? There are only a few like Bryan Cranston, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Vic didn't know.

Emmett probably Googled them like the bitchboy he is.

Googled it out of curiosity and Aaron Eckhart is actually 6 years younger than Vic. And you forgot to cast Todd Haberkorn.

Oh fuck I forgot him and thotmore

John Cho as Todd Haberkorn
Chris Jericho as Vic Mignogna
Kristen Stewart and that lip biting thing she always does as Jessie Pridemore

Here is a fun game. How muck of a Public Figure would you consider James Hong? Yeah most of you are scratching your heads. The best are going "The Goose! Po's father the Goose!" Could you picture what he looks like? Would you know him if you encountered him on the street?

Mr Hong is the most prolific actor in Hollywood's history. Having the largest number of on screen credits well above any other actor or producer in Hollywood. 500+. And most normies and even fans would not recognize him. So how much of a public figure is he?
