People's perceptions are warped by who they like the most. If they don't like Vic, he'll be a no good predator luring young girls up to his room. If they DO like Vic, and I suspect most older women will (its a hair thing) they're going to see those two girls as slutty temptresses who balked when things got real. They will have no sympathy for the notion that those girls showed up to his panels, sat in the front row, flirted with him, and then magically thought they were going to his hotel room for a friendly chat. Considering both parties claim no sex happened because the girls did not consent, he might even come out of it looking more favorable. They will probably know first hand there's plenty of dudes out there that wouldn't take no for an answer in that situation. No joke, the first people to 'slut shame' and do so the most extreme are other women. Honestly it will likely depend on if they have sons, daughters, both, no children, and/or if they think Vic is good looking.
Its part of the reason we don't seriously punish hot female teachers who sleep with their preteen-teen male students. For a lot of guys there's a bit of jealousy involved in that scenario.
