Perhaps, but I can VERY easily aid that downfall in my own little way by simply Boycotting Funi, Rooster Teeth (not that I bought their bad cgi cartoons anyway), and all Soyny products. This is a very easy "sacrifice" I can make. No more buying anime from western middlemen either, unless I've vetted the production staff (no more products with Rial/Sabat/Marchi's names on them etc). I never use ANN and actively warn people against using it - but those who do can simply archive their links and use an ad blocker to starve them of revenue. Word of mouth alone is often enough, and companies like Funi HAVE to be feeling something from the subs they've lost since January.

Isnt it weird why this claim was never in the funimation investigation? Isnt it weird that monicas only story was the jellybean in the investigation . Isnt it weird that tammy denbow talked to monica about this rape attempt but never asked vic about it, so she only talked to 1 of 2 people in the world who knows what happend in that room. Isnt it weird that no other story comes close to harrasment or assualt in the investigation. Isnt it weird that funimation stated that vic was fired for harrasment....

She comes off to me as someone who has done a great deal of work crafting the mask she wears in public for dealing with people but she has a huge amount of hatred for people and a gigantic ego with a big side of jealousy. Her mask, and sense of security, were shaken today.

if her story did happen its probably another one of those In hindsight rape. Attractive coworker making a move on her, shes probably into it and makes out with Vic. Stan arrives, hey lets go eat a bite. She probably look a bit heated, thing was getting hot n heavy. Shes akwardly say shes fine even though Stan probably knows whats up and dont mention it further. Vic probably never pursued further. Gets vindictive. Vic moves on other girls, she feel like a slut for "betraying" her friend Spect (vic fiancee at the time) and general jealousy from vic having a much more succesful carreer even though they both have been in the industry around the same amount of time. We reach peak gossip and general hatred of Vic in their circle. From hatred of his catholic views, jealousy of his carreer success and everyone is now on board to do something about Vic. Broly premieres, they cant stand it anymore. Vic has to pay for their perceived slights. Queu funi investigation and backchannels attacks.

This entire debacle has been sketchy from day one. Vic's fans have had such positive experiences with him that they'd dare question his accusers. The idea that he'd sexually assault an individual is uncharacteristic of Vic. Past rumors can be tracked down to some previous convention where he didn't sign an Edward Elrich and Roy Mustang yaoi fanart piece. Those rumors weren't given any credence until the inner circle of the anime industry used the success of the Broly movie to attempt to push a man, in brightest spotlight he's ever been in, off a cliff.
Here I am though just waiting on the betrayal arc of this anime where the defendants are rushing to stab each other in the backs as fast as possible. Maybe they'll even oust Iago, Igor and Renfield. Tonight didn't surprise me much though. A beached whale contradicts itself in a room with lawyers while chugging gallons of water. Where's the plot twists?

The weirdest betrayal Arc where the bad guys are stabbing each other in the back while the hero is just solemnly watching.
I swear, Vic is so close to "Luigi Wins by Doing Nothing". His opponents handed him their asses on a platter like all the girls he smashed, while other people were ready and willing to pick up the slack for his fight.

"A Weekend with Tomino" - seems to be a tiny gathering that was free, almost certainly not this
ACEN 2004 - Highly likely to be the case, the three of them share a panel about East vs West dubbing, so may also share autographs. Of note, Vic sits between Monica and Greg on their panel.
Metrocon - Extremely likely to be the con. They share a panel that's sponsored by ADV
Animefest - Not the jellybean story, they don't share a panel or signing session
Oni-con - Unlikely to be the case. They do share a panel, but Scott's also there, and 2004 Oni-con seems to be pretty small space-wise, so it seems likely they would have had a group signing.
Monica's statement is that they shared a signing event and were involved with the con partly because of something ADV did, not Funimation. Prior to the depo, I believe the story was 'a panel', not a signing, so I'm considering both since Monica's a snake liar.
I believe the story up until her embellishments in the depo is true, and that means somewhere out there, someone shared the silly anecdote of Vic eating a piece of candy Monica signed and quipping about it. I 100% guarantee if you can find it, you'll be able to infer whether it was sexual or silly by how they describe it.

I've mentioned this wayyy back in the thread. Back when geekdom and team four star's stance on the matter was fresh and hot. She also claims to have been raped (by someone else, not vic). Here's the kicker, in her story she actually reported the incident to the police. Aaaannnddd despite multiple complications including
1) the rape occurring in France (I think) and her not knowing french
2) her having a shower after the rape
3) she was anally penentrated not vaginally, and the nurses kept taking swabs from the wrong place despite her telling them that was the wrong place (communication barrier came into play here)
4) the investigation taking a few years
The guy was apparently arrested and charged.

REMINDER: "Vic won't sign that Edward/Roy doujin" is the first rumor, it's not the source of the rumors. That rumor appeared in 2010 (or at least the mainstream version of it does, older ones apparently existed but were very much not mainstream and pretty much only Vic mentions them), attached to a story about him screaming at the yaoi fan when she refused to take no for an answer. It was debunked in the Gaia Online thread that discussed it (which seems to be the only public forum left that talked about it then).
In reality, according to the people who were discussing it at the time, Vic actually did Ed/Roy fanservice lines and things like that for fans who asked it of him back then. He was known to lean into the fangirls' yaoi fantasies a little.
There's ample video evidence of this, in fact. He infamously said "Colonel Mustang is dead sexy in a miniskirt!" and that line hounds him pretty much to this day (and he accidentally got Aaron to say it so he's stuck with it too), and also said "Roy, I love you!" and "Back off, Riza, he's mine!" as well as Travis and him playing little jokes like proposing to each other.
Around about 2007-2008 he started letting fans know that he wasn't actually into yaoi and didn't like Ed x Roy (nor does Travis, this is why Travis has similar rumors) and a few times teases yaoi fans for being too extreme, but it's all in good humor.
This sparks rumors about him getting super angry about being asked to sign yaoi, up to and including throwing a sharpie in a fan's eye and storming away. However, this is entirely kept within the yaoi fandom, as I mentioned before these rumors don't make it into the internet at large yet.
Then 2009 hit, and he made multiple different comments trying to explain his position on yaoi and that he only really has an issue with the crazy fans. The most well known one, I think is ACEN 2009:

You'll see here he repeats the same rumors over and over, because there's just not many at this point. (Interesting that he addresses a specific rumor that persists to this day and debunks it with the actual event).
Because of this, his dislike of yaoi went 'mainstream', and the story of "He screamed at a girl who wanted him to sign Ed x Roy" was born by 2010.
Anyway. Don't spread the story that Vic's rumors came from him refusing to sign yaoi once, that's actually a rumor itself. Vic's rumors come from the fact that he teased yaoi fangirls and made it clear he doesn't like it. While yes, he had a policy of not signing yaoi (though there's video evidence that he will happily sign stuff that's basically 'yaoi bait'), the yaoi fangirls had zero problem with him until he started teasing them. You're perpetuating their rumors by suggesting it was caused by a spurned yaoi fangirl. It wasn't even. Because this is Vic we're talking about, so somehow it's not even that. It was yaoi fangirls who got offended he just didn't like yaoi.
You're right, I forgot. Somehow I never put the two pieces together, and just thought 'oh, he believes victims because his wife was a victim', not 'he's kickvic because his wife is kickvic'.

I found something about that alleged rape case.
It was, if I read her Tweets right, in 2009 in Florence, Italy.
To be honest, I'm not buying the wole story, so she was allegedly raped in Florence, Italy, tried to file a report and nobody understood her. You know what you dumb bitch, next time just call 112 or 113 and ask for a english speaking officer. After that they went to Venice and tried to file a report there, which again led to nothing. Ya, sure.
Then they "fled" to the UK to file a report over there, which by the way is just laughable, because Italy and the UK (obviously) are to different fucking countries. Ever heard about "out of their jurisdiction", you dumb cunt and then, ofc, she filed a report in the USA which also led to nothing.
Also important, there is a US Consulate located directly in Florence, Italy. So why didn't she just went their and and asked for help?
They would have contacted the Italian police or at least could have given her the contact information she needed, e.g. english speaking officers.
To be absolutely brutally frank here, I'm really convinced that she made up the whole story, maybe after reading this news story here. The news story was published in October 2018 and she posts about her alledged rape in February 2019. Coincidence?
Pro tipp to any tourists traveling abroad, if you're a victim of a crime (and dont' speak the language of your host nation) contact your nearest embassy or consulate, they can establish or at least give you contact information to english speaking local police authorities.
