Can someone please explain this to me? I'm lost. I'm pretty sure Nick's done nothing wrong, but what's this about?

View attachment 847724

Counsel has agreed that the only people that will be watching this live stream (the live stream of the depo to relevant parties not in the room) are the parties and counsel, and that it (the live stream, not the recording of the depo that Nick has) will not be recorded (as in the live stream won't be recorded by any parties or counsel) or otherwise distributed without agreement of all the parties (again, the live stream itself won't be distributed without consent of all parties).

This only makes sense, too, because certain portions of that depo have been redacted by the court, and a recording of the live stream would not have those same redactions. The key words in this entire thing are live and stream. What Nick has been sharing is a completely separate recording, and not at all a recording of the live stream.

it plays into what I think is one of BHBH's strategy which is to divide the defendant's attention. I doubt that they will take ty's bait this time though, they already got baited into trying to depose nick; FOR SUUUURE they won't get baited into a hearing about a goddamn deposition footage.

but they're idiots so who knows

to add: this potentially means that not only does ty want to win, he wants to win with as much damage to the defendant's finances as possible

They're hungry, stupid fish--they'll take the bait. More so, the video makes them look sad and everyone is laughing at them even louder now. The only thing I think that would hold off a hearing would be the superlawyers telling them they gotta pay some bills first before proceeding.

I think the "mock" filing of Nick being deposed was just an empty threat at first; until we found out their [REDACTED] secret squirrels Bachmeyer and the Yost twins out. They truly believe there is a connection between the KFs and Nick. Maybe they'll notice there is a reason Nick isn't afraid of being deposed.

The live stream should not have been recorded. However, you are correct, the wording of that agreement is that all of them agreed that only the people authorized to view the live stream, would be viewing the live stream in real time. I.E. not allowing some shoe eating exceptional individual, to piggy back off the broadcast and watch it at the same time as them. Law Twitter is stupid. None of them can comprehend what they read. Not even Dummy Dunford.

I look down at people who report tweets as well. But not for the same reason. I don't care what they report, I just look down on them for having a Twitter to begin with.

While this doesn't change your point - since having had a Twitter in the first place is a prerequisite - one can still report from a permanently suspended account.

Was it ever said anywhere that the depositions were sealed, in the videos or in the transcript?
There's a restriction on who was allowed to watch the original stream live, but otherwise Moronica (and their lawyers) had explicitly declared that they want everything public, and refused the confidentiality agreement

EDIT: Slight correction - they also censored out any identifying information of people who aren't directly involved, not that it stopped the crack team of autists here at KF from figuring a bunch of them out anyways

So, @ShortRound finally got a copy of MoRon's Mall Ninja's military record:
Fill in the blanks from the two documents:

Not really. Vic isn't a public figure or anything, I don't see why the mainstream media would be interested at all. Anime isn't nearly as popular as it's fans think it is.
Plus, they'd have to be fair in their coverage after seeing Vic suing people. They saw what happened with the Geoffrey Rush case and the $2M verdict. Fair coverage articles don't sell papers or get clicks these days.

I agree with that but I'm also surprised there isn't a bit more coverage. I mean most KVs don't really care about Vic and are just listen and believe. It should be a big deal as far as politics and the like are involved, Vic being a unicorn and all.

I guess anime is just so gay that no one important wants to to be involved.

A question for the kiwis that know the law and it's procedures more than I do (nearly everyone). Is it normal that Mr Supah Lawyer, Casey Erick, went full objection to form in all the questions in both depositions, or was that a very exceptional sperging on his part?

Man how does a hand held bottle of something start a fire that quickly that so many were killed? Sad indeed.

He more than a bottle of gasoline, the wiki article (citing Kyoto Shimbun as source) says it was to jerry cans with 11 us gallons (40liters) of fuel and poured it into the building and over some people.
After looking at the pictures of the buildings it looks like the arsonist put the flammable liquid right into the staircase from where the fire than spread into the offices. Also I can't see any fire escape ladder or other emergency exits at the buildings outer walls, which means the moment the staircase went up in flames they were trapped inside the building.

To me the building itself looks more like a former apartment building than an regular built office space, which would explain the missing emergency exits which are mandatory in commercial buildings but not for every residential building.
