Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

It’s funny because that whole shit with Salem could be argued to just be a giant band aid for not giving her a backstory since her debut at the end of volume 3. Even when Monty was around, it wasn’t like the writing was super amazing. But, volumes 5 and 6 have burned A LOT of good Will some RWBY fans have with the show, and to some, 6 is only better because it wasn’t a total dumpster fire and the writing didn’t feel like a first draft.

Ya, I agree the writing wasn't top notch, but it was vague enough so it was interesting, and it had enough ground to be coherent. Even the most magic delved Season pre-Monty decease (which is Volume 3) was fine enough. Once they went full-on fairy tale, they screwed themselves over.
There's a reason why fanfic writers prefer the setting of Volumes 1-3 to the modern era RWBY.

I have some hope now with 3 writers now, and a extra month before Volume 7 airing, they do better.

As for the corporate crossovers, eh they’ve been around a lot lately. They have a game called Amity Arena which is a Clash Royale clone, they did a tie in with an RPG app that I’ve never heard of, and they’ve got a something going with DC comic, AND there’s a Shonen Jump manga that’s adapting the first two volumes. Not sure what Monty was like when it came to art vs corporate IP since I started watching after he died, but a lot of the whoring out of RWBY has left a bad taste in some people’s mouths.

Don't forget the BlazBlue game as well. And ya, they've been getting a lot of traction with third parties lately, which to be fair, good for them at seizing more business partnerships.
I just hope the base product was better, but that's just me.

Two Women and a Third Woman with a Beard. My first choice would have been Hoobastank, but I'm pretty sure that one is already taken.

Three Cucks None The Richer.
I've been laughing for 20 minutes about this goddamn joke.

I just noticed- one of Ron's fuckin' eyeballs is looking in the wrong direction and I can't unsee it.View attachment 850100
You already noticed it before I posted, but I'm gonna post anyway because of the thousand years of effort I put into documenting the sight trajectory in Paint.

How can one "man" lose so hard in the genetic lottery?

Yeesh, hell hath no fury over a woman's scorn

She has quite a few admissions in here.

So, by her own words it looks like she wanted to be an independent party in the relationship, she didn't want to bend-a-knee to him. Already is in conflict of what Vic seemingly was seeking (which she outlined clearly), someone to capitulate to him.

So, already it's a bad relationship pairing.

Recognizing that, the relationship might have worked had they come to terms with that and either reconciled through Vic backing down and allowing Michelle to have more independence, and Vic relinquishing his dominating nature, or by agreeing to have an open relationship and allow Vic to pursue relationships that satiated his desire to feel powerful.

Just judging by the tone of the reply, it looks as though Michelle does not seem to be the type to be malleable. Seems very rigid in thought, based on her trusting him without reason beyond belief.

Also, it's a shame that she can't see that his acts of deception were to preserve her immediate feelings (among other things). Vic did seem to love her, in the very least he cared about her enough to try and keep up the appearance, instead of just being flagrantly cheating and not showing remorse in her face.

Vic seemed to feel guilty, which is why he hid what he did. So, while his actions were careless, they weren't without a degree of care.

All of this could have been avoided with a simple fucking discussion, and at most some couple's counselling.

They really weren't compatible, being both alpha personalities; but if they really wanted it to work, they could have found a way. Neither did.

Vic didn't try to torch her to the ground, though I'm sure that's how Michelle sees it; and Michelle should just nut-up and move on instead of being mad at Vic that she ignored signs several times, because she didn't want to admit she was wrong.

This comes to my mind. Just reverse genders in what she says and laugh with me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ-_kOYUCX0

Regarding that, the God of Light is a fucking idiot, why in yourself name, revive the entire human race with an immortal salty bitch running around rampant, while she also being the only being in the planet capable of using magic.

Was it because 'Such a shame both of our efforts were wasted'? Bullshit.

The God of Darkness was right: The God of Light was trying to impose his agenda to his lil' bro because he kept playing his toys and ended up breaking them.

Fucking Christ. Why do you niggaz insist on talking about your weeb shows here? Take that shit to 4 Chan or some weeb board. I would wager most of us are here to see some bitches fucked into the dirt. Not discuss who your waifu is in what cartoon.

What's your guys favorite season so far been? The series started off in a dark spot with the antagonists basically having complete control but I'm glad things are looking more optimistic, favorite antagonist by far is Lemoiney, with his threatening wheezes and coughs. Shoutout to our new mid season hero Stan Dahlin.
