Sonny is interesting, because even when he had chips in the game he was liking tweets that wanted de-escalation of the situation. He seems like the kind of guy who would have gone along with Chuck's offer and been happy to put it all in his past.
According to Nick, there is a secret pro-Vic section of Funimation, and evidence points to the same in RT.
Crispin has voiced the whole gamut. He's more along the lines of what people would like Vic to be in terms of power and influence due to his prolific work and how long he's been in the industry.
Honestly it's completely unreasonable to expect anyone who isn't a personal, close friend of Vic's to speak out. Voice actors stand to gain absolutely nothing by supporting Vic. The moment that they do, even if they aren't under Sabat's thumb, they get the Langdon treatment. Sure people like Crispin probably won't be affected in any serious way by it, because he's just so damn classy, but what's the upshot? Kaiserneko, who leans kickvic, even explained it plainly in an early tweet about it. Doing that kind of thing just pointlessly invites controversy and provides no benefit for the person doing it. If I recall, even Reuban was directly asked about it in an interview, he didn't just jump out on twitter all "hashtag ISWV!!". With kickvic the actors don't just get the buttpats from their side, they also get an in with Sabat, and will end up with better roles in the future if things go his way. Who do they get an in with if they stand up for Vic? What new roles will they receive? What offsets the price they pay for jumping into the controversy and getting muddy?
People compare this to Johnny Depp where his friends in the industry spoke out, but with Johnny he had actual criminal complaints against him and (manipulated) video evidence. He needed their support. And even then they overplay who was involved.
Sure, it would be nice for Vic for these people to jump to his rescue, but they can support him just fine by privately emailing him, or by keeping him on their platform so he can keep making money and talking directly to his fans. It's not like ISWV is a ghost town that needs their voice. All that can happen for them is getting angry fujos on their tails, and people constantly trying to blackmail cons to get them fired. Would you want that idiot Crimson Chin calling up every con you go to for the next year?
I think Carey's advice applies equally to KC and ISWV VAs: silence is golden. Pointedly not talking about it in and of itself helps to ruin the KV narrative that everyone knew and couldn't speak out until now.
It's certainly memorable. But I think KF itself only found out the name around the time of the depo video. Apparently it's publicly available, but I don't know where.
I think it says something that out of the LA crew the only two I know of who've dipped their toe were Yuri Lowenthal (he retweeted #bethere) and Steve Blum who threw Vic right under the bus. Really makes you wonder what's different about Steve from the rest of the LA crew.
