How could anyone who's read the depositions or watched them in their entirety still have this take? Are they retarded? Ignorant? Missing information? Lying?

How the fuck do you take a clip of Nick Rekieta saying "I'm going to get taken out of context for this" and he gets taken out of context and all these retards jump on it, convinced they got a win?

How do you see a single clip from a depo and claim victory when you know damn well you don't have the full context and you're going to look like an idiot when it comes out?

My god. Do these people eat their own shit? Whose depositions were they watching?

Literally the exact same things happened with GamerGate if you remember that shitshow. The anti-GGers were so desperate to prove to themselves that they were in the right that they esentially dug their own graves by doing and saying a fuck ton of things to sabotage their own side. Things like editing a wiki, someone trying to plant CP, and some troon by the name of Brianna Wu going on television and making herself look like the biggest fucking screechy, whiny piece of shit to ever come on television. Pro GG really owe their victory in thanks for anti-GG shooting themselves in the foot at literally every single opportunity that they could.
The same thing is happening here and it'll also end the same it looks like.
Didn't the SJWs still win GG based on all the western companies bending the knee to their insanity? Hell, as much as I like remake Tifa's design, Square Enix admitted its a thing because neo-feminism is being dumb.

Looks like someone was too busy beating their wife and left their guard down.

That said it seems Mike has a violent history, Heather pulled out a domestic violence restraining order against him in 2002, just a couple months the police arrested him for Felony battery then barely 4 months after that they got married at the courthouse notary.

they just dont care. That was especially obvious with their response tweets to people's criticism and anger back in 2017. It was exactly how you would expect a company like them to react - they make their own, very nebulous tweets about their VAs apparently being ""harassed"" (providing no evidence of course) and using that made up fact as a "get out of jail free" card to drop the subject of Hajimete no Gal episode 7 entirely.. Seriously, for those of you out there who still haven't seen the episode in question, go take a look at it. You'll wonder how Funi ever managed to make a god damn dime afterwards.
Hajimete no Gal was a garbage adaptation of the manga (which wasn't that great either) that no one watched. Badly dubbed shovelware can be ignored by the masses. I'm not advocating laughable localization, but the source material isn't worth a damn to the anime watching "normies".

I can imagine their daily routines involve them running up to couples on the street holding hands and kissing and screaming "STOP RAPING HER. YOU ARE CLEARLY RAPING HER, STOP IT. I'M GOING TO TWEET ABOUT THIS."
I know I’m late, but I can’t stop seeing this:

KickVic white noise goes here.
For a guy who has been swayed by Vic's deposition he sure missed a lot of what Vic said.

KickVic white noise goes here.

"The hill Vic's dying on IS NOT that people lied. It's that the incidents are true & taken the wrong way, & it's not fair others went public. "

I'm pretty sure Vic's charging that he is in fact not a pedophile and not a rapist.

Hell, Monica's own deposition shows her motive for all this shit: "Despite being the main character of [Such and such movie], Vic is listed on the box... but I'm not."

And it really demonstrates the insanity of these people that this isn't even true. It's a lie. Nobody is credited on that box. This pathologically lying cunt would tell a complete lie like this and expects to be believed about anything else. The only thing true about that statement is the seething jealousy and hatred.

ETA: Okay, it's apparently a thing in the UK version of the box.

Actually, someone found a (presumably short-run) box with Vic being top-billed at the bottom corner in small font, so there's merit to that statement.

Of course, the other issue is then that this is reportedly the part of the anime where her character has nearly zero spoken lines.

It's the UK version. Vic is literally the only VA listed on the front. And it's on multiple boxes like that one.

I think in their minds they want to take Anime mainstream. Making it "relevant" to a "new", "hip" and "progressive" market like the Marvel and DC comics. And maybe then they will finally get the fame they so desperately crave.

Because that worked so well for Marvel and DC. And IDW. And comics in general.

The ONLY thing a judge cares about is not having their cases overturned on appeal.

Some judges don't even care about that, although it's more common near the end of their careers.

This bears repeating. I remember lurking on the farms at the very beginning of the Vic controversy. Contrary to what you see today, people were on the fence; some people thought he was innocent, others had heard the stories about him and thought, maybe this one time, these type of people were in the right.

Then the Weeb Wars started and they started opening their mouths; never have I seen a tide turn that fast. Not that I blame anyone for thinking he might have been guilty and then changing their minds after seeing evidence, I just find it very amusing.

I first heard about this and winced. The "evidence" seemed overwhelming and there isn 't really anything I could do. (I don't buy anything from Funimation.)

But then the lawsuit started and Kiwi Farms is the only place that is dissecting this damn thing.

Jamie's ultra double secret Discords and various other backroom BS that have been doc'd would seem to argue for her TCPA being denied as the conspiracy is there in black and white, IMO/FWIW.

AS for Judge Chupp ...

First he's a Republican, likely with a somewhat conservative mindset and in a conservative state. How would such a man react to the utter idiocy, subterfuge and bullshit? I think he would make damn sure Ty is on diamond solid legal ground by smacking as needed and give the snowflakes that rope to hang themselves. He has already seen, out of the gate, the crap KV's lawyers are pulling. Being human, regardless of his politics, that's not going to bias him toward them.

Since he most likely does not want this fiasco going on his record as eventually overturned, He's, IMO, going to be extra careful to dot the I's and cross the T's. And the absolute last thing KV's "evidence" and strategies will benefit from is a real life, non-twitter Judge giving them his undivided attention.

It will however, benefit Vic/Ty greatly.

I was thinking that the conspiracy stuff would be enough for me personally to say "we're going to allow this to continue."

I mean, the leaked stuff we have Discords discussing PR, text messages to event staff and gratuitous lying in Deposition.

Then there is still the stuff that isn't public.

You don't coordinate a massive PR campaign without some kind driving motive/malice.

Yup that's what I think. He hasn't had too many lead roles lately and Funimation has been giving him bit parts and side characters. Broly would make him popular again and it was. Everyone wanted to talk to him. Plus they did try to get him recast before they even started recording. Jealousy.

They simply couldn't understand why he had so many loyal fans. They can't understand because they see fans as dollar signs. Vic sees them as people.
Never got into DBZ, so I can't talk about Broly, but Vic being Qrow Branwen was probably the second biggest role in his career. Also, don't most anime VAs just voice any character and becoming a lead/fan favorite a matter of luck of the draw?

De'Aaron Fox, nba payer who plays for the king, did the kamehameha after hitting a basket, and later did an interview:
Michael B. Jordan loves Naruto.
Kanye West says Akira is his biggest inspiration and you can see it in his work.
Tobey McGuire enjoyed Robotech, and bought the rights for it back in 2007. (But surprise, Sony bought in 2015, and the movie is going forward to be made, with the director of IT now directing it.)
Ronda Rousey would have gone 'Cartoon for Vegeta' (her words lol)

Its been over the past decade that anime has really stepped it up, since millennials basically grow up with them and now they
are in the forefront of entertainment.
I'd say it's still pretty niche. Even without the legal implications, would the average Joe recognize somebody like Vic or Sabat if they were walking down the street. The last time I can say anime was "mainstream" was Pokemon in the late 90s and when Spirited Away won an Oscar. Then, like now, it's only a select few titles that a non anime watcher would know.

If anything, the gains that have been made are the realization that anime isn't just schoolgirls and tentacles.

MyAiddonValentine dude follows all the ANN staff and sucks their dick on Twitter. Same with PenguinTruth.

A lot of these people pretty much hang on their every word so it's not surprising. They really want to be hired by ANN.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, anime VA are still unrecognizable for the most part, especially since it depends
on whether people watch dub vs sub, where then it involves two different sets of actors.
The properties themselves are big though, and should be raking in the dough.

And then you have to look that the "affidavits" were given by a very interconnected, basically incestuous crowd. Several of those people have been outed as prolific liars, power abusers and sex pests (like Faisal, Manjawlo) or simply bitter exes. What kind of attourney would even file that garbage without authenticating it. Apart from corrupt people or someone who basically got physically and mentally ill after getting bitten by a mosquito?
