To me that auction shit looks like a violation, but in truth - and bear in mind Twitch is VERY fucking lenient with this as it makes them money - nothing will happen. It's probably just about implicit enough that they can ignore it. I mean, when he got banned he was literally saying "these bits will help me pay my taxes", and this ain't that (although it's close).

Tldr roaches gonna roach

I just watched that part and I fully agree: that was absolutely disgraceful.

And to be honest, I still have a problem with the way he's doing this Minecraft auction thing with both bits and dollars vs. the rules set by Twitch... I mean, people in his chat are openly discussing how many dollars need to be donated to beat a certain amount of bits and DSP blatantly compares bits to money on multiple occasions.

For archival purposes, here's a small montage of DSP basically giving the "exchange rate" of bits <=> dollars:

And here are some examples of his chat discussing and questioning the value of bits vs. dollars:

Surely this is not what Twitch had in mind when they introduced bits with a rule that says "bits are not a money instrument"? And I know that some of the chat messages above may very well be from possible detractors trying to stir shit, but that's not the point here: in the end, DSP is responsible for not instigating conversation on his channel that is against Twitch' terms of service.

Oh, and I'm not sure if ThatAnonyMouse was being ironic or not, but it looked he was trying to make it seem like DSP was upholding the rules regarding bits:

Especially that last question is a very good one, because indeed: how can you actually determine the top contributor between cheers and tips when bits aren't money? How does that work? What formula does DSP use to solve this complex math problem? 🤔

Well, offering the "service" (giving a name to something in Minecraft) in and of itself isn't the problem; according to Twitch' rules it's perfectly fine to "reward" a viewer that way for cheering. Though when you start organizing auctions between tippers and cheerers where only one of those can win, you're setting yourself up for possible violations of the terms.
how the fuck does someone justify giving $200 to someone just so he can get a fucking npc named after them that makes a cameo at most in a game that is played like once or twice a week? seriously

these idiots doing this shit are probably doing bad financial decissions as dave himself. idiots atract idiots I suppose.

I can't find the clip where Phil goat laughs at how him and strippers "have very similar tax situations".

So basically he is a thot and therefore a protected class by Twitch.

And who wouldn't want someone that can pull your business probably $50k a year in commissions from bits/subs on an average 400 viewers?

I'm not sure what exactly your post is in reference to, but from these images I would guess the answer is: 'No, he had/has no idea his garage has an attic.'

Uhhh, so I just was rechecking shit for like 10 minutes to confirm. The 2 shots of the possible attic entrance are from exactly 1 year apart and in the 2nd the piles of shit in his garage have not move 1 fucking millimeter in an entire goddamn year!
And!!! both shots occur at 2:53 in a video that is 9:11 long! The shots are framed almost identically, and the only thing that looks different in the shot is the placement of DSP's finger, and I had the 2nd video muted.
This motherfucker is so goddamn boring that he filmed the exact same shit 1 year apart and called the 2nd video an 'Anniversary Tour'.
I'm sorry for spurging out like this but I was seriously fucking confused how I took the same screenshot from 2 different videos. Just wtf? :o
Fun Phil Fact!

Phil never moved that pile of boxes. Phil has a bad back and couldn't move empty plastic totes and cardboard boxes. When Phil's parents flew out to visit him his dad was the one to clean up the garage. He put all the empty totes on that overhead rack. Phil's dad also explained to Phil what the mystery things in the cupboard were. They were disposable latex gloves.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Hadn't he got a sunburn when he shoveled snow? Maybe I mix up 2 events, but it sounds hilarious and simply fits the sugar drinking basement ogre: He is as pale as his wall, looks 10 years older as he really is and has the workout program of a coma patient (just flip him every few hours). He should at least drink some orange juice if his body can't produce Vitamine C in sunlight, because he would instantly burn to a chunk of coal.

EDIT

YES! Thank you!
But tbh he needs both.

I mean depending on where you are, you can pick up a sunburn in winter. Get a lot of snow where I live and on a sunny day I've come home with decent burnt face. Though that's probably because I was outside most of the day rather than 20 minutes clearing a laneway.

I'd be very very much interested in more "detractor" channels sharing just how much time poor hard-working DSP with absolutely no free time whatsoever, spends watching their multi hour-long videos

We already discussed that its wrong. IT doesnt show that dsp himself watched his channel.

That is really, REALLY fucking weird.

Misreads the B as an 8. Twice.

Doesn't need glasses.

Fuck, he's blind. He needs fucking glasses.
Come to think of it, didn't he have glasses at some point? What ever happened to those?

He has prescription glasses because it says on his driver's license he needs them. He never wears them and claims he's only obligated to wear them for driving on the highway because he can't see things very away (again, according to Phil 'Mental Gymnastics' Burnell).

Sigh.

Like I told @Comma , I know someone who was a Twitch Admin/employee, and asked about their opinion regarding a couple of things. They did give me permission to post the conversation, but I will not post their name. However since these types of things are extremely easily falsifiable, I could speak with a supervisor, like @Haunter , about it if necessary.

I also remind that this is just the opinion of an employee, which doesn't really mean that others will think alike, or if Twitch enforces its rules like this, so it's not definitive. Either way, this was the conversation:

He was supposed to wear his glasses while driving on highways, according to Phil himself.
So it's just a pair of prescription glasses, and he took a picture wearing them back in 2015. He deleted it from his instagram shortly after, therefore you can tell he doesn't like wearing them one bit.

Besides, he just looks like a Dollar Tree version of Destiny with them tbh;

"Don't call them tips, call them revenue"

I'm having flashbacks to the fund-raiser fiasco again. Sorry, the raising funds stream.

What a load of shite. Not required to uphold the rules they set? What's the point of TOS then?

Not surprised though, that entire website seems to be run by cucks who pick and choose who to ban for the dumbest reaons.

Don't know why he's so against wearing them on stream or driving. His camera quality is so shitty anyway that you can hardly tell if he was wearing them.

Thanks for that info, that clears a lot of stuff up.

And as we pretty much knew already, it's basically up to Twitch to care enough about certain situations/streamers and how strict they enforce their own rules:

I don't mean to derail the stream chat *ahem*, I mean the thread guys, but this is indeed true and blatantly obvious.
Alinity mentioned on her Discord that she talked to the higher ups of Twitch, and they apparently told her that she won't get banned, but some of the people harassing her would instead.
This further proves that they don't really give a damn about enforcing their TOS that much. Some streamers get banned for noticeably less, while Phil and Alinity are handed some sort of life insurance by Twitch.

It's disgusting and demoralizing to read about this stuff.

If you look at the picture the arms of those glasses already make his fat head look like one of those pork roasts with the butchers twine tied around it.

In fairness I think that was just her talking out her arse, just like the "people coming to her house" ended up being 3 14 year olds looking for some online clout. According to most people, this was mainly her playing victim to try and get rid of some heat. And those twats didn't help the situation by creeping on her, fucking idiots. Unless the people DM'd her on Twitch nobody is getting banned in that situation. If someone did DM her on Twitch causing trouble, they deserve the ban for stupidity if nothing else.

I understand why Twitch ain't doing anything, it just doesn't make sense. Alinity atm is arguably worse than Dave for Twitch, but at least I could buy her blowing or fucking someone to not get banned. What's Dave offering? All he brings is annoyance and not much else. He must be clogging up the report section with the amount of retards who report him for farting on stream.

I've gotta assume he's literally in the Goldilocks zone, he's not too big to cause too much trouble, but he's just big enough and bring in enough money to make him worth keeping for now.
