It's likely an incredibly misleading affidavit that they can defend as technically true until clarified through discovery (which is generally prohibited until the TCPA is ruled on). He specifically denied that they "have contacted me to request that I ban Mignognia from any convention". This exact phrasing allows for behavior that includes "if Vic attends, we will withdraw attendance and/or financial support" (it's not requesting a ban, just doing a him-or-me ultimatum), as well as having them share their support for a banning through a phone call or in-person discussion that Fasial initiated. It's incredibly specific, and without discovery and cross-examination we'll never really know what they said to each other.

Like, note what he declined to attest to. He didn't say that the defendants never talked about Vic with him. He didn't say that the defendants never repeated the allegedly defamatory statements to him. He didn't say that the defendants statements were not discussed in the meeting where they voted to ban Mignognia. He only made an extremely narrow statement that there wasn't an explicit request to ban Mignognia.

You're not being nice. The fact that your story is worded in the way that it was proves it. You were being passive.

You actively avoided saying anything to express your discomfort. You actively avoided setting boundaries for no reason.

People like this are the pits. They think they do a service by sparing the feelings of others by being ambiguous about their boundaries and their perceptions of a relationship or interaction, but the only thing they accomplish is hurting everyone including themselves-- the person who overstepped their boundaries doesn't even realize what they did and is deprived of even the opportunity to adjust in the future for other people, and the person who had their boundaries overstepped still gets hurt. But to begin with, the latter party just doesn't want to feel like a villain-- they're not really concerned about anything else, and you know Kelly isn't concerned about anything else given the way that post went.

I know people like to checkout youtubers for their info but I'd like to go back to reading articles. I'm tired of having to sit through some faggot in front of a camera prattle on and pad a 2 minute video out to reach their coveted 10 minute mark. Gonna call out Yellowflash on this since he's covering this subject so frequently.

I wasn't too fond of her from way before Gamergate. She was nothing special and had earlier signs of being a lolcow, voice-wise, acting-wise and not that impressive range yet whenever she acts like someone important, I can't help but laugh my ass off. I guess the reason she got the main roles in a lot of recent anime despite the lack of vocal range and repeated fuckups is because of that cuck Sabat in Funi? But honestly I'm disappointed in male VA area how many white knights are in the VA industry. I don't think I can watch some of my favourites as it puts bad taste in my mouth. Actually I'm just mentally listing VA's in my head I can maybe support in the future. At least I can say big respect to Chuck Huber.
