I was feeling particularly cheeky today, and also wanted to take out some of my frustration with my roommate on a target of opportunity. target was acquired, and I dropped a damn J-SOW.

Of the currently airing seasonal Funi dubs I'm watching and/or have checked the cast/crew on (Hensuki, Kochoki, Cop Craft, Arifureta, Yu-No, Astra Lost In Space, How Heavy Are The Dumbbells That You Lift, Demon Lord Retry, Fire Force, Dr. Stone, and The Ones Within), none of them have Monica or Jamie. Not voicing, not writing, not directing. Some KickVic VAs do appear, like Daman Mills, Wiedenheft, and Josh Grelle.

Monica might reprise her character if Index appears in Scientific Accelerator, but no new roles as far as I can see.

Hmmmmm.

EDIT: Looks like Monica is playing a character in Why The Hell Are You Here, Teacher!? which is a show from last season. Not a Funi dub, but a Sentai dub.

I'm trying really hard to balance IRL and KF, so I can't give an update every day because there are lots of FNGs. Please archive. Please post relevant topics in their respective threads so the mods don't have to move them. The goal is to keep information flowing so that we're not stuck discussing the same topic over and over in the General Chat thread, it makes it a mess to find the timeline and specifics of a cow. The better we keep information flowing where they need to be, the more productivity and time idle Kiwis have to research other stuff. KickVic does not have this structure.

Broly had a bit of a buzz of people fussing over whether Vic would be Broly, including people wanting Sabat to voice him. I think it's pretty obvious that either Sabat wanted Broly or he wanted the opportunity to squeeze in a TFS member as Broly under the excuse of it being a new character in a one-off movie (knowing he'd probably stay on after that).

They might be able to do extra voices in DB, but no way Toei would let a TFS member play Broly with how asshurt they are about the abridged series.

Exactly. Some ISPs simply delisted the Farms from their DNS (so switching to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 will still grant you access). Other ISPs implemented IP address blocks which have to be circumvented by VPNs.
Another thing blocked by some Australian ISPs due to Christchurch? Archive sites.

If I had to take a wild guess, it would be Sabat. He has a lot to gain from putting vic into the ground or out the industry and could have easily promised monica and jamie better roles if they played ball. Motivation? Sabat is the big fish in Texas and Vic coming in would be competition for Sabat.

Some of them have known him for 2 decades, they knew what cutting him off from his fans and from voice acting was going to do to him. Once they'd gotten him fired from FUNimation they could've stopped, instead they kept going and kept marching his corpse out into the town square to flog it some more.

I think they started planning this the second they figured out they weren't doing auditions for the role of Broly and saw the script and realised Broly wasn't dying this time around...which meant Vic might get to reprise the role for whatever follows on from Super. If I was a betting man I'd place money on Sabat licking his chops at the thought of scooping up the Broly role when the movie was announced, people even asked him on twitter whether or not he was going to be going for the role and Sabat at to tell them that the role was already cast...but I don't think he mentioned once who had been picked for the role.

Just a reminder that Japan still controls copyright to many of the IPs these companies dub for and that at the end of the day because of this, all dub companies are beta bitches to chad japan.

when he says "one of the defendant's agents" some of you automatically leap to the VAs booking/talent agents....forgetting that FUNimation is still a defendant in this case and the word agent has been thrown around in regards to both contracted workers and their cuckdogs.

Nick isn't going to outright say "some one working at FUNimation is has been banned from conventions for being a sex pest" because he likes to blueballs us a little and it's very likely that Ty has plans for that information for any post TCPA filings.

A much earlier (circa Kamehacon) video had Nick hinting that Sabat had refused to cast some women who wouldn't have sex with him. He's never backed that claim up though, and basically never talks about it. It's been suggested and theorized that the woman in question was Nadolny, but since she's kickvic, it's hard to say.

Toei will for sure never let TFS voice any character that VA had voiced before, but it's possible they might be allowed as another character. Toei hasn't stopped Funimation from casting multiple TFS members as custom voices in Xenoverse games yet. That said, I remember people saying Japan demanded Vic to be cast as Broly again, so regardless even if Sabat had hoped to give them Broly, Toei clearly didn't go along with that.

I'm confused. Why is kickvic dragging up a niche anime? Does it have some relevance?
