Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Oh god why? Now I understand why they don't want the storytellers (R2 and C3P0) anymore in the Sequel Trilogy, they have their own OC who is better than them. If she's an 1000 year old chinese woman then I really don't want to think about her having sex with Chewie and the hackerman from TLJ.
Good Lord you're right... She's thousands of years old, is seemingly omniscient and omnipotent, has met every major character in the movies and Disney's EU, including Anakin, has visited countless planets, is seemingly superior to Yoda... etc etc etc. Yellow Yoda is gonna be set up as the true narrator of the story or hell maybe even The Force itself herself...

By the way, the idea of them replacing Ackbar with a relative reminds me of a joke in the Broken Lizard movie Beerfest where one of the main characters dies, only for his long lost brother to show up and they just choose to pretend he's the same guy.

I still can’t figure out what lead Disney to decide to have reshoots last two months before a December release. Was it because of the poor reception during the test screenings? Can anyone help me out here.

Probably because the movie was a big piece of shit.

It's kinda interesting to go back to stuff from 2012 before Star Wars was sold to Disney, I personally think I enjoy this take on the universe a lot more than the one we got
It's easy to see how this scene could very well have been made as a proof of concept for 1313

The cancellation of 1313 still bums me the fuck out.

What's the consensus on Han's treatment? Is it Disney mandated due to Harrison Ford's insistence on being killed off in TFA and trying to push new characters as better or is it because of hack writers with daddy issues?
Hack writers. They all want to push their shitty OCs/characters nu-Disney likes (like Captain Aphra) and as seen in your typical shitty fanfic, there's no better way to establish how great your character is then by making them outshine a character who's already established to be great.

Holdo was written well in the one Leia novel but all that characterization was missing in TLJ aside from that one brief scene between her and Leia.

I wonder if Keri is going to fill in the Han role? Or the Leia role?

I still can't believe that The Last Jedi gave us not one, not two, but THREE characters that irritated me more than Jar Jar Binks ever did.

I seethed in the movie theater every time General Hux was on screen, I rolled my eyes at everything involving Holdo (I saw that "twist" coming from a mile away, given the obvious setup with Poe and Leia), and I was constantly screaming internally with every line that Rose had.

The Last Jedi is just an incredibly loathesome movie. That's all there is to it. It was unpleasant to sit through, from start to finish.

Looks like the official SW page on Twitter made a poll for "International Friendship Day" to have people vote for their favorite BFFs in Star Wars, and it appears they were banking on disney sequel BFFs winning the poll considering how much they were shilling them. Imagine their shock and the shock of their nu-fans when Disney BFFs got BTFO by OT BFFs in the polls. The comments are amusing too for the most part.

This is what frustrates me the most. In my opinion, The Force Awakens is worse because it plants the seeds in damaging the legacies of the first six and makes all the achievements a waste of time by delivering a story that serves no purpose what’s so ever added in with nostalgic pandering, weak characters, and dull production values. The Last Jedi maybe objectively worse, but at least it was more interesting to hate than to be bored by the laziness of Force Awakens.

This I think is what I mentioned awhile ago. People will disregard the Disney canon no matter how hard Disney tries because the Disney canon means nothing, does nothing new, and is utterly pointless. People will consider the Episode 6 as the true final installment of the Skywalker Saga while we all pretend that the Disney trilogy takes place in a alternative timeline.

Pretty much sums up my feelings about the films to a tittle. In other news, Universal Studios announced their new expansion, which will not only include Nintendo Land, but more Harry Potter and possibly Star Trek. Some are even calling it a "Disney Killer". Unlikely but I dig the nickname.
I just worry the Star Trek park will make the same fuck up as GE and be based solely on JJ Trek or Discovery rather than shit people actually want, like TOS, TNG or DS9. I want to have a drink with Bones and Quark while watching green Orion girls dance, have my picture taken with the crew of the original Enterprise while sitting on Kirk's chair or ride a roller coaster through V'GER's core or a Borg ship ffs. Not go on a shitty time traveling simulator with Spock's "sister" while being blinded by lens flare effects.

Also I forgot to post a link to the twitter page containing the SW BFF poll.

With the Star Trek park, I think with both CBS and Paramount coming back together, I think they can use all the good elements to draw in people with the original show and TNG. What they should do is have the layout be similar to the Lucasland version.

Rey+Finn and Poe+BB-8 had absolutely no chemistry together in TLJ (and in TFA to an extent), so I'm not surprised. Just disappointed that Disney thinks they can shove their own narrative down our throats without even giving a shit to do have these New Trilogy pairs do something together.

Why wouldn't they think that? There hasn't been a good Star Wars movie in almost 40 years and faggots still eat it up. Their shill campaign is in full effect across old media and social media. Why wouldn't the characters from your billion dollar earning movie be beloved? I hoped Star Wars was going to die off after the prequel failures, but then the totally cool chic geek trend started, so they will not stop milking that cow for decades to come.
