If they're coming from places like Venezuela then they probably don't even have that. I have a lot of friends in Venezuela and two of them have to drive around the country for one or two hours just to find a store that still
has toothpaste and toilet paper. Most of the stores in the country are
less well-stocked than your average Fallout 3 supermarket, and some of the better-stocked ones are literally guarded by the Venezuelan army to prevent looting what little is there. I mean for fuck's sake it's so bad that Maduro
literally rewards soldiers with toilet paper.
I'm about as pro-deportation as you're likely to find and I'm hesitant to believe that Immigration Services are denying them
basic amenities in the first place, but if there's even a scrap of truth to it then I'd be upset, to say the least. It
is possible to be upset about something like this and still actively detest the Democratic party's contribution to this and
not hate or blame Donald Trump in the process. I realize that we live in an era of constant, political extremes but "Give them toilet paper" and "I like Donald Trump" are not mutually exclusive thoughts.
