Here's the way I look at things like this;

I was pretty deep into the underground rave scene in the 90's and it's hard to pinpoint why I still know so many people who think you can bring that aesthetic and feeling back again and still talk about the shit we got up to like fucking Al Bundy. I mean, it's not like I don't ever talk about it but I can realize how much shit went down. I think it's got a lot to do with the "Everyone loves everyone" vibe we pasted over the drama, shit talk, drugs, etc. that every scene has. But that's also how you know someone wasn't involved in it or was a casual attendee- they believe that shit about PLUR. Sure, that was the goal, but you can't have a giant scene without humans being humans.
