Is there anything or anyone to verify that these notes from Gogal are legitimate or were even from the time claimed? I find it hard to believe that manjaw is deranged enough to fake something like that, but after all of the other idiotic bullshit she's pulled, I honestly can't say I could completely dismiss the possibility either.

Nick has strongly hinted at Ty having some interesting depositions of his own. I think it's fair to say that at least one of those is a convention owner who was contacted by various parties in this case, or those who will be joining them in the future. It wouldn't surprise me if another was Iijima and unlike the other idiots' counsel Ty would have certainly reached out to her at the very least. I wouldn't be surprised if he mentioned that "journalists" might come knocking and that she could always decline to comment on any stories.

That's all speculation, but it's also obvious enough that a lawyer that actually cares for their client instead of seeing them as a source for billable hours should consider it. One could argue that if he has something like this, why not release it, but I think just showing Dahlin's affidavit is sufficient to show the accusations are baseless without giving everything away. The question is about the specific panel and interaction at said panel.
I just find it very hard to beleive that there wasn't at least one person with a phone in a room with hundreds of hard core Vic/mari/macross fans, AAand none of thoughs people even mention anywhere on the internet that this all-star (by anime standards) event occured.

Apparently, Tekko 2007 wasn't really all that big of a con, and Macross is not the most popular of shows with the attendees of anime conventions in the first place, so I'm not sure how popular of a panel it would have been. It is odd that there isn't really much of any mention of it, though. Have you seen if a schedule of the con is floating around online anywhere? Actually, maybe @MagicalHopStep might know if the panel happened.

FYI if you are using f.lux and the windows snipping tool then F.lux has an option to disable while the snipping tool is being used.

f.lux only changes the image being piped to your display, it doesn't change how it's actually rendered.

That's gotta be brutal for the defendants and those who made the affidavits to see that their claims are being destroyed by the Fans years later without most of them realizing that their video's (that they probably don't even remember making or the account anymore) are defending Vic...........

While Post Modernism has indeed eroded or tried to erode western intellectual thought, it is important to credit Marx for a good bit of western degradation. Marxist Philosophy, among others, was a building block for what became known as the Frankfurt School. With their "Critical Theory" and allies with Communist Party USA, managed to taint and corrupt American journalism, media and entertainment. They sadly were quite successful, and here we are today with the current problems in front of us.

I suspect the vilification of the farms is an inadvertent attempt by the defense to get ahead of that. The internet never forgets, and we do a lot of digging. If they lied about it, it's only a matter of time before we find it, and parade it around like a trophy skull. Everything's eventual.

I doubt ISVW has any such concerns, because it has a specific goal involving a lawsuit that's out of ISWV's hands. After the suit, I can imagine it lingering for a while in the hope of making sure Vic gets back into the industry properly or hunting down people who escaped lawsuit, and that might cause an issue, but even if it eventually burns out it's not a big deal.

Even though there's the odd rumor of him being a meanie as far back as 2007, people far and away didn't pay any real attention to any of them (especially any creeper behavior) until 2010-2012. Because this is literally just angry fujos.

It can't be repeated enough. There's nothing to any of the rumors. Just angry, angry fujos. The claims that he did bad things back to 2003? Retroactive dating. Those supposed survivors just didn't bother to say anything for 7-9 years until Vic made it clear he didn't like yaoi and never would.

I've noticed that pattern too. MoRonica and co have come up with literally nothing that was contemporaneously dated pre-2019. Everything is just, like, dragging up new testimony about stuff that happened a long time ago. Where's the complaints filed with conventions? Where's the police reports? Hell, even contemporaneous emails or text messages. All we've seen are some "brave women" coming forward.

Yes, it happened. I say that with 99% certainty. I remember Mari being a guest, because that was a big deal, and I remember having no panels I wanted to go to at an early Tekko, so I went to the Macross one because I had seen, like, one of the movies on TV. I think I came in near the end? I don't remember Vic at all.. I remember Mari being at the panel, and I remember them showing an AMV about her character Minmay that I believe had the song "Fame". I found what I believe to be that AMV too, but that's not really relevant. XD

So they didnt confirm with the actual person involved (IE Mari iijima) and is late as shit as this "rumour" had already been doing rounds in the KV/ISWV circles. How fucking utterly incompetent is ANN? Thats like breaking news from months ago and not even doing right.
