Phil just commented that his parents have always lived in the same area, and that they're 'pretty much homebodies' because they never leave CT.

So moving to Washington... makes him not a homebody? Forever? In spite of only leaving the house once a week for the errands circuit?
At least he doesn't live in the ghetto like them, I guess.

I bet Phil's parents wear shoes more than once a week.

Why would they leave Connecticut? The last time they went on vacation to Seattle, instead of seeing the sights they got roped into painting Phil's house, weeding his garden, and cleaning his garage.

I'm almost sure I heard him say he didn't buy them gifts for some occasion because he allowed them to drive his BMW around town. I really can't remember where it was however.

Not quite... at least not yet. I think he is looking for justification to not play Fire Emblem because his excuse of it 'being niche' is objectively incorrect at this point. So instead he said it was only the trolls who were pushing him to play it in order to bait him into mandatory weeb dating shit. Cress risked a ban to tell him it wasn't mandatory and to stop talking out of his ass, which is likely why Phil then dropped the topic.

I think this is arguably worse because he seems to think that try to get him to do a dating sim is comparable with trying to get him to say something racist, which is just wildly delusional. And he's also now trying to use it as a way to make himself appear the victim, apparently ignoring that this new belief is as bizarre as some fringe religious dogma. But it sounds like he might be avoiding any game that he hears has mandatory dating elements in it, otherwise he'll play the game and just do none of the dating stuff.

Do you think we could get him to play something like hrmmm HunieCame Studio or House Party? lol

Yeah I just saw that video on here somewhere. He let them drive the BMW around and got them a REALLY NICE hotel suite.
That was the first Christmas in Washington when they flew out and got to drive the BMW as their gift.

The next year they flew out and Phil made his dad paint Leanna's "office", his dad cleaned up the garage which was filled with boxes Phil didn't pick up for 2 years, and his mom planted a garden that Phil let die after Leanna left. His dad also trimmed a bush that was blocking an exhaust port that would potentially cause a fire.

@actually Do you happen to have a spreadsheet with monthly total breakdowns like this? If so, shoot it over and I can make some pretty graphs with the data

Unfortunately, I don't keep a master list, and my monthly spreadsheets have evolved pretty significantly over time too, so there's not a lot of consistency there either. If you have some idea of what you wanted to see, I might be able to piece it together and do the plots.

It's funny that whenever anyone visits his home for the first time, he gets in a giant gardening kick that he immediately forgets about when they leave, almost like he thinks that's something adults do but he doesn't care at all about it. (These are from Kat's first visit and he was supposedly randomly shopping for a bunch of plants.)

Phil's insta is a real trip around the time he was first talking to Kat before she visited. Putting all his gamer shit around his condo. A bunch of trying to cook for himself. This steamy glare.

Please remember that if anyone tells you Kat isn't in on the grift, these are the smug selfies Phil was posting after they met.

The complaints on the SF stream are the standard mess, right out of the gate.

However, a tipper named Heaving Earth is coming in with a bit of cash so it's worthwhile. I was also thinking how Phil said he didn't know it was EVO (after previously saying he knew and didn't care). And yet here we are playing SF for the first time in a long time on the first night of EVO.

So is Phil attempting to cash in by giving his audience some fighting games because he actually knows they're probably also interested in EVO? Or is he doing this because he has been reflecting on past glories and wants to feel like a big man while the big men carry on without him?

Meanwhile, Geoff the Hero, confirmed detractor, is playing Samurai Showdown right now at EVO.

Edit: Phil is saying that this version of 3rd Strike is shit and is asking if everyone can see why he stopped playing it.
The obvious question is why is he playing it then. Why not MK11? Why not SFV? Why not Samurai Showdown which everyone has asked for?
The answer is because Phil wants a game where he can beat up on people and can blame the game when he loses.

Also, Geoff won his match. So congrats to him on that and for giving me something to watch that wasn't Phil throwing out wakeup supers.

phil's throwing out punches 10 a second

SF2 Turbo is sped up.

Special shoutouts to heaving_earth, who is creaming himself (and has given $252 of $269 in tips so far, cause the 2x$50 and 1x$100 tipper is creaming themselves the same way) about Phil playing this.

"People seem to really like it." One person emptying their wallet = people love it.

Gotta love how he shits on modern fighters for being about combos and patterns while he does nothing but roll and slide with Vega for entire matches, like you can’t make up these levels of hypocrisy.

He really does think sf2 was the pinnacle of fighting games and it’s clear it’s because it’s the only one he had any real skill at, he’s bitched about every other fighter he’s ever played. I’m sorry dark, they aren’t perfect, but fighting games have definitely progressed over the years and gotten better, you just refused 2

Phil complains about the game speed in SF2 Super Turbo being incorrect constantly and always blames any loss or screwup on it, but he's actually correct on this one. Due to a quirk in how the the games were originally programmed, it's hard to emulate the exact game speed from the arcade version. So any version that isn't played on an actual cabinet really does run a bit faster than it's supposed to. Most players have adapted to this by now since it's basically the only way to play the game at this point unless you own a cab and are playing locally. 3rd Strike doesn't have the issue as far as I know so he has to stick to the good old "Online tactics, that character sucks offline dood, if I was playing locally I would have parried, also he was mashing," excuses.

can you imagine the entitlement of this guy for just asking one day about $1000 in tips (cheers and subs don't count) or else you threathen your fan base that you won't tell them some "positive news"?

typical dave

i could say as well that I made 50% less last year but I still made $1mil. dave's a dumb fuck who's too afraid to even real numbers

I would love for DSP to do any sort of "on location" stream, but I can't even fathom a location that would be interesting.

I personally think the location does not matter. What would be interesting is how Phil can't block hecklers, people asking hard questions, and has to put on his shill face and repress the salt and anger. Watching him squirm should be fun regardless of location. This is also why Phil will try his hardest to be a hermit the rest of his life and beg tards for shekels.
