No Doucette doesn't realize that. Nothing in Doucette's life story give any indication that he in any way "plans ahead" preferring to instead simply bullshit his way through the here and now. I haven't seen a single one yet that is actually working at a law firm. Many are unemployed/underemployed like Dunford.
