It says in the captions they posed for these pictures for the rag at their studio. This was a coordinated hit piece by the defense.

Compare the haggard headshot they used for notoriously fabulous prancing lala man Vic. It's a standard practice by garbage journalists to use unflattering pictures for the people you want to demonize.

That was my take, too. Since it appears to have been orchestrated by Sean "8 to 12 months" Lemoine, it seems likely that was their plan. John (Sam? Whichever Marchi's lawyer is. Funi's the only smart one to stay out of it) did comment, but only Lemoine decided to smile for the camera.

Yeah, they picked a terrible low-rez photo for Vic on purpose. And the article doesn't even attempt to be a little unbiased. Japan Times was less biased, and they were just another part of the ANN hit trying to legitimize it. I hope they get spanked by the public for this.

I'd call this s a Hail Mary since most don't even give a shit about Nick's streams or places like Kiwi Farms. The further you are from the Internet, the easier you are to be manipulated by Web narratives.

Hmm..... I wonder why she was the one to write this story.

It's part of the Dallas Morning News, which is the main newspaper of Dallas.

Still, the article does get some of Vic's testimony, but messes up other things...
-Doesn't mention hanleia's pedo tweet, which REALLY kicked things off, not the 'rude homophobe' tweet
-Mentions Marachi's tweet, but skips the line about head and balls..hmm..
-"Mignogna acknowledged in his deposition that people have commented negatively for years about his behavior. "

-Cherrypicks Nick's quote to make him look terrible

Just read it, and see that it's only a couple steps above ANN's articles, which really tells you about the state of journalism if this
Pulitzer prize winning journalist in a large city newspaper did this.

I'm torn on it. On the one hand it's got the veneer of being more professional than others, but on the other it's less unbiased than that Japan Times piece that was obviously just another hit piece. I can't decide where to put it. Other than the trash, obviously.

Maybe because no one buys it's a disability? I mean, I've known people that only have one lung and COPD on top of that, and they don't sound like they gargle glass on a daily basis like Lemwaaaah does.

Have you never served jury duty?

It's literally just a pool of whoever in that county gets a letter to show up, and then both opposing councils get to ask questions to weed out anybody who they think would come in with prejudices. If Ty can't ask the right questions to get somebody dismissed for being already prejudiced, then that's on him.

Speaking as a former Journo, I'll say this. It's absolutely yellow, but they majorly fucked up. First, they are trying to sell the Blasey-Fords' of Anime in a post Kavanaugh world. The second problem is that their paper has long been the butt of many jokes regarding media honesty.

The only people who buy the paper are the people that blindly believe what they read. Too bad those people won't be sitting on Vic's jury. Ty will almost assuredly use that article as criteria during jury selection. Everyone else is going to chalk it up to "leftist rag trying to keep a collapsing #metoo movement alive."
