If you ever needed proof that the defendants are now truly afraid of how this is turning out, this is it. This article is going to be much worse for the defendants than anything else they have done up to this point. How do they plan to argue Vic was libel-proof and the defendant's accounts weren't causing him damage when the accusations are front and center in a news article? How do they plan to claim they never intended to damage his career when they are willing participants in a fairly obvious hit piece? How in the world did they think this was a good idea?

I can't believe anyone is actually this stupid.

Who else thinks they also might be trying to get Vic recognized as a public figure by running this article?

I think the thing you're missing out on here is that Nick is a YT personality, based in MN. Lemoine went specifically to a DALLAS, TX news publication for the explicit purpose of defaming the plaintiff further.

Very, very different than Ty going on to a YT's channel to muse about Warhammer and field unrelated topical discussion.

Given the other news out of Dallas Texas today (mass shooting) they are going to have to try again in a week or two. This is going to be buried by that story, they probably couldn't have picked a worse time to drop it.

Last I checked, Vic wasn't even sure about the monetary payout prayed for, and was of the mindset that he just had to do something to salvage his career and reputation. Are you suggesting that Vic should want a jury, himself?

Vic seems to be listening to counsel who have run the calculations and everything points to a jury trial being advantageous for his outcome. Even if defendants run as many smear campaigns as possible.

but there is a lot of fucking signs here. Monica being agnostic, and openly mocking religion... Vic being a devout Christian. Take a look who keeps getting seemingly divine intervention and timely miracles in this suit so far, making me consider investing in a cross tbh
