I checked out when Karbowski said "nerd paradise"-- the inherent contempt they had for their fanbase (and consumerbase, mind you) was inherent in that condescension. They aren't a part of the "nerd paradise" they tried appealing to-- it turned the entire thing into a "how do you do, fellow kids".
Rial was the same way in her depo, when she mentioned out of freaking nowhere voicing "best girls" with someone she could bet knew close to nothing about anime and wouldn't know what the hell that meant.

When did Vic, move back to Texas from California? Was it right before the release of Brolly and the allegations? Or was it after the initial storm. That could very well effect or explain some of the motive of destroying his career.
If he moved back to Texas in late 2018, early 2019, that could be a perceived threat towards other VA's, as he could more easily lobby for certain role's or projects within the industry by being in the vicinity of Funimation HQ. Projects that he may of previously ignored, or overlooked, be it due to proximity/location or time constraint. All of which would have no longer been a mitigating factor anymore for certain projects. That he, now in fact could work directly in the studio, interact with cast and higher ups, rather than just submit his dubbings from California.
Was there talks of projects that otherwise may have gone directly to Sabat and instead been sought out for Vic's involvement? Or directing positions that Monica or Marchi may receive, gone to the more 'popular,' 'acclaimed,' Vic to oversee.
Had he mentioned that he wanted to more greatly focus on VA work, less acting and non profit fan productions, like Star Trek continues. His existence now a perceivable threat to their livelihood or positions, by proximity of his presence. That his charisma, charm, endurance, drive, factors which have allowed him to excel at conventions, now channeled into the company's projects. That kind of dedication, highly favored by some in management, to then seek more involvement from Vic, upstaging his fellow peers in upcoming VA work.
Was the role of Brolly, a sign to these VA's of encroaching involvement. Was there signs of a hierarchy shift within the company upon news of his availability. Did he just, up and move one day, or was it known for some time?
Had there been ongoing conversations that incentivized his moving back to Texas, and being closer to Funimation?
While Vic, and it can be clearly shown has done extremely well in the Convention scene, his attendance surpassing many by sheer number of guest spots. He, however did not spend as large amount of time in the studio as his 'friend's/peers'. And not rubbing the pole's of the 'upper brass' to get roles.

Had been subjected to or required to charm, suck or buck to get a recurring role, could very well be upset by the hypocrisy of the situation of being overlooked, demoted and or ignored. As to where the other individual could take the 'jobs' without subjecting himself to the brass, other by than appealing himself to the fans. Whom in which may lobby on their behalf to be apart of upcoming projects.
Envy, would only be the beginning of nasty feeling's I would harbor. Easily, later on festering towards unimaginable and unreasonable hate. And unfortunately for Marchi, Monica, Wendy and Kara. If these two have so much "courage", why are they trying to dismiss the cases outright instead of going to court with all their "evidence"? Didn't Soye say they "welcomed" the chance to go to court and that they have "hundreds of witnesses" that would testify? They could prove all the naysayers wrong, prove that Vic is a monster, prove that they were indeed truly the victims.
But no, they want it all dismissed.
They don't give two shits about actual victims, only their deranged narrative. They're just weaponizing the #metoo movement for their own personal benefit. They aren't the first, and they certainly won't be the last.

What Nick and Ty have been careful to do, and what Doucette and the Spednaught haven't been careful to do, is suggest 100% certainty. They're certainly confident, but they understand that the tides can turn in a way that screws them over, and Ty has even said that even if that happens, he's made peace with the fact that either way, he hasn't let these hyenas destroy Vic like he promised his mother.
Rial/Toye's TCPA is an abomination of desolation, though. If there was ever a visualization of original sin, that TCPA was it. It's absolutely possible that that TCPA isn't dunked into a woodchipper with the might of Zeus.
Perhaps in the same way that it's possible for Judge Chupp to come in as stumbling drunk as Vic has never been.
I would have agreed at some point, but this is just staggering.
They'd probably have to fight for that, since Nick was reporting on this before Beard was even retained, Nick's involvement notably involves the dissection of court documents (as per the name of his show, "Lawsplaining the Interwebs") this newspaper at least boasts at least 60 times the coverage Nick can muster on his best days, the newspaper is technically established compared to Nick's webshow, and Ty already put Chupp on notice that the defendants were doing everything they could to defame Vic-- he already put him on notice when they were trying to get Vic deposed before immediately dropping their TCPA.
