Honestly, that's the entertainment industry in general, just saying. At least the vast majority of mangaka and anime creators are outright humble to where they outright deny that they are "mangaka" or "anime creators" due to how such titles they feel are vastly lofty than them, and plenty also avoid trying to get attention and unwarranted photos. Even some who have pro right wing Japan sentiments joke about it than boast about it.

Going back to the comics industry here in the US, I'm honestly surprised at how "unheroic" writers are, but then again, I've been long in the mire known as internet forums and niche hobby communities, where overt materialism and egotism has shown me how ugly the worst of geeks and nerds have come to be, and how much they think society and life owes them something. This especially is the worst when it comes to deranged creators and authors, who think they can use their expressive outlet to reign terror on a world that they think has wronged them.
