Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Well, well, well... isn't this interesting?

Not only was FUNimation following Sharon Grigsby for no apparent reason- but it seems Sharon was following the CPAP KING himself, Greg Doucette, and good ol' douchie boy mysteriously knew about this article beforehand...

almost as if, I don't know, this heap of shit is nothing more than a collaborated hit-piece put together by those associated with defendants?

Gee, I really wonder if this is going to bite them in the ass when Ty points this out to Judge Chupp?~

Gee it’s almost like...hear it out for a moment...it’s almost like civil conspiracy, y’know?

No wonder they not once talked to Nick before publishing this piece.

Remember when Chris Pratt's wife divorced him because he became more popular than her and didn't stay an irrelevant, fat exceptional individual? Actors of all types are beyond egotistical, it's why that majority end up in California.

I used to want to be an actor/voice actor and move to California to do that because I felt as though I had the skill/voice for it, but after seeing how expensive it is there, along with how much hypocrisy and r.etardation is in Hollywood, I just stopped having that passion. It’s sad that literal r.etards have the biggest voices in the USA.

I guess at the very least we get to see which people consume shit without questioning things. Looks like this might turn into another wave of VAs coming out and giving their stories on what a 'terrible' person vic is.

At this point, I just mark the tweet as irrelevant to my feed. Perhaps I need to stop following certain people as well as this came up as a recommendation because I follow some other people that follow this guy.
As I said before, whether this was to get #MeToo into their industry, start the cleanup that was supposed to start with Vic, or both, they realized that they need to mobilize since the resistance of this case could ruin everything.
Who else thinks they also might be trying to get Vic recognized as a public figure by running this article?
That's been the main hypothesis all day.

Don't think they're part of the cabal per se, more likely virtue signaling or swallowing and regurgitating shit because they can't think for themselves.

Quite honestly, I've only got like a handful of VAs that I actually care about any more.
That or they know that coming out of support of Vic is career suicide and that siding with the defendants is good for their image/PR. As for Sabat running things from the shadows and KV being his party line and doing that to be on his good side, that's just rumor milling. And remember...this is just Funimation. 1 studio! Who knows if this is being followed in the rest of their industry?

If there's anything I've learned between convention work, dating and watching this blimp implode...

DO NOT FUCK COSPLAYERS/VOICE ACTORS
Good luck with convincing people. I'm willing to bet there's at least one person dedicated to role playing that they insist that whoever they're banging stays in character throughout the fucking, let alone keep the costume on. Between prostitution laws and trips to Nevada probably not being cheap, sometimes you gotta take what you can get.

So, mark my words on this.

J Micheal Tatum will have a highly credible rape/sexual assault/creeper accusation come out. He'll have creepy texts, nudes or something on him that will come out after this settles, or even before this settles and this case is actually lost for the defendants.

The Script Demands It.

I'm not religious,

but there is a lot of fucking signs here. Monica being agnostic, and openly mocking religion... Vic being a devout Christian. Take a look who keeps getting seemingly divine intervention and timely miracles in this suit so far, making me consider investing in a cross tbh

You could always go to one of Vic's sermons.

And so it begins......

Weren't we supposed to already be in discovery?

Yes, but the defense was playing weasel word-games, even before the TCPA put a stay on discovery. Compared to the plaintiff, who seems to have been much more straightforward with discovery requests, aside from making the defending council asshurt that they didn't label everything in a manner satisfactory. Basically, the defense didn't turn over shit. If the TCPA motions are defeated, they will be compelled -by the court, if necessary- to turn shit over.

The photo of those two is just so hilariously bizarre.
Monica's thousand yard-stare and Marchi's pudgy face with those teary eyes.

Did you channel your emotions by thinking back to that traumatic experience of having your... hair pulled, Jamie?
That's what's so amusing about her side of things... even if 100% accurate, she's going after a guy for pulling her fucking hair.
#metoo though.

I'm especially thunk about how they're completely misrepresenting this as a "MeToo" moment.

Vic is suing them. He's not being sued.

It's like the NPCs are so flabbergasted that someone had the audacity to stand up for themselves, they are trying to rewrite reality
Given how there's a backlash against MeToo and Title IX lately, they have to misrepresent things to cover their asses.

Just like Kevin Landau (of the Landau Group), this guy is getting fucked by search engines for his assholish behavior. Check search results for Casey Erick too, right beneath his Superlawyers profile it brings up some of Nick's videos (the Kiwifarms thread for this lawsuit is on page two) and in "related searches" you see "Ty Beard lawyer" and "Ron Toye". As for Ron Toye, the first results after his Twitter are articles about his deposition and clips from the video. The damage they did to themselves from this case isn't going away for years at minimum even if they get it dismissed with prejudice and get all Vic's money. It's an albatross hanging around their neck for life, dragging them down and denying them business opportunities.
imho, the deposition strategy may have been in conjunction of getting fodder for the recent articles. That level of gay-opery may be why Casey looks to be on his way out if not out already. He wasn't a big enough ahole. Just a thought, could be wrong. If that's true I will feel bad for Casey.

Weren't we supposed to already be in discovery?
Usually you do TCPA first to spare the cost of discovery. That's not what Moron did. They did it backwards, for gay ops reasons like amplifying the shame on Vic and maybe feeding hitpieces, imho.

Btw guys I heard through the grapevine and a couple of Discords servers that Funimation was bragging about how they quadrupled the charity ask for some battered women’s shelter but I’ve seen no evidence of this charity by them.
Has anyone found that charity?

Oh and lets say Monica did tell Michelle Specht about this years past, it means Michele did NOT believe women till
it was convenient. Remember, she has knew there were rumors and did push back against them years prior on some
yahoo answers page. Not exactly bastions of virtue in any which you look at it.
What's also very curious (and I think you guys don't know this) is that Michele remains friends with Todd. She still likes his tweets. She will not interact with Jessie in any way. She was actually one of the first to like todd's tweet where he showcased Jessie's messages to him (hard to prove now since the tweet is gone).

So, despite touting #believewomen and posting titty fab pics on her Instagram with a #girlpower message, she chooses to believe Todd over Jessie, although Jessie accused Todd of one of the worst things that a guy could do to a woman. Way worse than anything Vic was accused of.

Almost like this is not about #believewomen for her at all.

This is J. Dolf's plan for post-TCPA. He's bringing in the MeToo trump card, hoping that it sways public opinion and maximizes damage on Vic's reputation.

I hope he gets sactioned into dust over it

It seems like this entire thing hinges on the validity of Funimations investigation. Since Vic wants his reputation back, I would think any settlement with Funimation would require retractions of their investigation. If the investigation is rendered invalid then Rials claims collapse also.

And public impressions will depend on how big of a boom Funimation makes when the lawsuit is done. If it goes up like the Hindenburg then people are going to remember that more than anything.

I don't even care enough to read it but depending on how bad it is, they have a year from now to bring them in to the party if it makes sense to do that.

BHBH will remember and the Farms never forgets though we have enough on our plates to do anything right now.

No, for Michelle it is about revenge. She is scorned and this is a way to get back at Vic.

However, what makes me have very strong questions is this.
Monica was allegedly assaulted by Vic prior to him and Michelle getting together. She and Michelle were allegedly good friends.

Would you not tell your good friend that their fiancé tried to sexually assault you?
