They broke up sometime around late 2015/early 2016 and it turns out he was all the talent both in writing and editing their vids into that glossy over-produced look. She went back to sperging endlessly about Joss Whedon shows and churned out low-effort panel shows/podcasts with some troon friends, and McIntosh briefly embarrassed the fuck out of her by stealing her entire audience as the Pop Culture Detective before he seemingly abandoned the channel to go back to living off Daddy.

People have been saying that for years, and if you look on her Twitter she's seemingly never in the US and giving weird feminism speeches in Europe like once a month, eating at weird but presumably expensive restaurants and all that. That's not the antics of someone on the verge of being destitute, someone's paying for that.
The thing about "not taking a salary" and "laying off employees" make it sound more like she's running some kind of tax cheat to me than anything else. Like all the money that comes in doesn't have to pay for anything, it's "strictly business", and what does she do on business? Travel and eat, evidently.
