I think he's just given up on himself. Maybe it's guilt for leaving his kid or whatever. I'm serious. His behavior is crazy. I'd want to Minecraft myself if that was my reality. Just dig a huge hole down to the lava shit, fill it all up with TNT, and do whatever you do in Minecraft to detonate TNT. I don't know, I can't get into that shit. Terraria was more my bag.
