Imagine thinking that everyone in the thread that wants to see Arin Hanson have his inevitable downfall is a FAN of him.
Arin won't be the direct cause of the inevitable GG implosion. Arin's inability to take responsibility for his own failings is creating a culture of rot and denial inside his company - the obsessive "positivity" and "right side of history" thinking, the disdainful mistrust of fans leading to othering and money farming, the inability to separate the image from reality, the disconnection from his own past, the true belief that GG is a club not a professional company, the obsessiveness they have about using all of their material no matter how exposing or awful despite the fact that a single 8-hour work day would create a months worth of daily Episode uploads because they were and always have been lazy shits. All the signs are there.
Speaking as a one-time "fan", (regular mind you, not obsessive). You can loosely track the crazy over the big picture - first sign was John leaving and the odd choice of complete non-address. Everyone knew it was BS because of all the "too real" moments on the show where shit got awkward. Stuff started getting weird in "the crew" as Barry became more of a character and less of a professional employee. By the time Kevin joined it was full cult status for Grump members - it's no surprise he quit, one of his co-workers (dan) made a joke about sexually assaulting him the first time he was mentioned to the fans.
Everything became insular, the image totally controlled. To fans, it was the perfect life of a group of friends. In hindsight, this was the period where Holly started cheating on Ross - while the group simultaneously bashed Ross as a punching bag, training fans to do the same. Suzy fully embraced being a worthless shit and started scamming fans. When that didn't work she became "the group mom" (totally mentally pleasant to be around I'm sure). The group started cross-fucking other you tubers and picking up tag-alongs who were really only there for exposure. Multiple people tell tales about how Arin seems to have a habit of generously financially propping up his closest supporters (AKA buying loyalty). All the while they talked up their own broken devil-may-care false "good people vs bad people" life philosophy while enforcing a non-professional work culture of "you can't tell me that makes you uncomfortable, we are closer than that -RIGHT? ITS COMEDY -RIGHT!?". Then they started mocking fan feedback instead of taking it seriously. The "we're a family" mentality became toxic, as fear of expulsion suppressed the ability for any one person to take the organization to task. People start "disappearing" never to be heard again (including Ross, Barry, Brian, and other tertiary "grumps").
Now you have complete fan disregard and outright pay-pigging, an abandonment of their claim to fame in an effort to recover waning numbers, a bloated, unproductive staff that is inserted into videos like will smith into bad Disney remakes because "don't worry, it just works". Ambivalence toward mistakes. Arin himself clearly has no confidence in his own product anymore - he's completely lost the thread and is depending on a co-host who clearly could care less and feels above it all because he had one hit single and likely fucked his way into a Conan O'Brian performance. If Arin's recent worship of Dan is any indication, god knows what he gets away with (likely a lot of "I'm tired today and don't feel like recording."
The TLDR is that Arin just can't hack it as a business owner or manager. Enough internal shit has aired that its clear the "grumps" as a social network are toxic as shit. Grumps will implode as soon as any of the shit that likely goes down privately goes public, and with the way things are going, someone is probably going to start talking soon - newgrounders, former grumps, other youtubers, the amount of shady shit that's going on now is going to spill out from under the tarp Arin is so desperately hammering back into place constantly - the most recent incident is proof his goodwill is wearing thin.
