Completely. There is no proof whatsoever that their organization somehow made the difference between stopping gun control legislation or not. It's ridiculous. That would be like saying the only reason Democrats are for abortion is just because they receive money from Planned Parenthood without taking in consideration that it's infinitely worse for Democrats to let their voting base down than it is to not receive money from one interest group. Wall construction is proceeding, albeit slowly, here is a comparison of exiting border barrier to the right, and new wall to the left being built in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. While it’s fair to say most of the wall construction isn’t new, these vehicle barriers and small landing mat fences are primarily what’s being replaced. There are similar construction efforts in Calexico, Tecate, San Diego, the Rio Grande valley and several other locations. National news rarely covers them, but local news does. Trump rarely gives specific details on wall construction locations, because he gets sued to shit every time he points out one with Yuma and Calexico being good examples.

Deportations do tend to be significantly higher when you prioritize Catch-and-Release so that you can deport the same people 40 times in a row, yes.
