Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Okay John let me see if I've got this right - you're saying that overmoderation of public spaces put all the crazies in one place, and now you want to get rid of that place because that will make the crazies go away, do I have that right?

You mean like how @RepStephenLynch actually went to tour the facilities while you sat on your ass playing video games and complaining about TV shows?

Can someone report John’s tweets for fake news?

This is from July.

This is from 4 days ago.

This is from 4 days ago, Lynch went to the camps and discussed humanitarian issues. What has John done about it other than snipe at Lynch from his disgusting hovel?

My inner gun sperg wants to point out that the Kriss Vector isn't even a rifle let alone an assault rifle but that doesn't matter, all I hope is that he clings on to the Vector as an example for all his gun control ranting.

It's just so dumb, I get that he's trying to give the impression that he knows a lot about guns but it gives away grabbers like him don't plan to stop at scary ar15s and ak47s.

Depending on config it can be a carbine or SBR or pistol (carbine config is dumb because the 12" barrel extension defeats the whole purpose of the compact Vector form factor).

Regardless of config it's only available in pistol calibers (9mm and a few others).

I'm aware but I don't really count tht since the sbr is just how's it's classified under the NFA and and the barrel extension is just to get around the NFA. So it's really not a part of the design.

I'm still not convinced that Wu has any idea what a Congressperson actually does or can do. It's not the standard "if elected I will do this" type of overpromise, it often sounds more like they actually believe they'll have some kind of god-president-judge power rather than be one of 435 near randoms that Pelosi (or whoever else acquires the gavel) will completely ignore.

The charitable interpretation is that John believes he'll be an AOC style figure with absurdly outsized influence and a media sensation, but even that is cringe-inducingly delusional. AOC for all her flaws is attractive, a firebrand, and can at least be spun as representing a legitimate phenomenon. John is a hideous deformed basket case with a peculiar marriage and even fewer credentials than AOC (and many more obviously fraudulent ones). That's assuming he even wants to win at all, which I'm not convinced he does.

Of course it's just as likely he knows as much about how Congress works as he does DOS commands or firearms or coding.

I don't think "submachine gun" or "machine pistol" sounds any less scary than "assault rifle," unless you mean it's just a semi auto pistol, but even then standard Vectors do qualify as "assault weapons" in states that have such a legal category (detachable magazine outside the grip).

I'm still absolutely gobsmacked that Wu doesn't realize that if it ever got into a position in which its opponents have to acknowledge its existence, the whole scam will be over quickly. Lynch's camp certainly knows that Wu's entire "career" is a fiction, but he has nothing to gain at this point going nuclear on a no-shot vanity campaign. There's something so delicious about how Wu getting close to what it wants is what would make the whole enterprise come crashing down.

Not really sure what John baleeted because new Twatter sucks even harder than the old one. Which newspapers did you used to work for, John?

I guess the latest Apple toys, 3d printers and sports cars are more important to a campaign than boring shit like making sure the stuff you put out is factual and well written huh.

I can't be sure why John deleted this tweet, but I wonder if it had anything to do with this story making the rounds. To tweet something like that so soon after an incident like this makes him look even more oblivious than usual.

John's ignorance of how newspapers operate is neverending. When a reporter interviews someone, the only way to confirm that the quotes are accurate is to look at the reporter's notes or listen to the recording of the interview, if there is one. No one does even that much unless the quote is outrageous.

Having articles read by an editor not involved in their reporting is standard procedure at all papers. But John is amazed and impressed that The Washington Post follows a basic industry standard.

The Washington Post does not employ fact checkers. It has a few copy editors left, but there's a huge difference between fact checking and copy editing.

And it was The Washington Post that reported that John is a tranny. After John went ballistic, the paper did some fact checking and changed the article to state that Brianna Wu identifies as female. You'd think John would have a big problem with a paper whose fact checkers can't even see that he's a woman.

Finally, John's latest attempt to create a memorable quote is, like the last one, plagiarized. In this case from a very famous statement usually attributed to Sinclair Lewis. John read it somewhere and lifted it because he's too ignorant to realize that it's widely known.

I don’t think it said Brianna wu identifies as female, it said Brianna Wu identifies as a woman. John knows he can’t say the former.

You are correct. I should have done some fact checking.

From the article:

"Clarification: An earlier version of this story said that Brianna Wu is transgender. She identifies as a woman."

Dr. Merkwurdichliebe regrets this error.

Presumably John still doesn't meet any required thresholds of youth, healthy, sexual fertility, or necessary skills, eh Herr Doktor?

Wu had an op-ed in the Washington Post today, because I guess their fact checkers overlooked that she's a total fraud who has nothing useful to say on any topic. I don't really have anything to say about that, but this comment however....

I enjoyed reading catch me if you can, because Frank Abagnale may have been a fraud but he was at least a fraud who carried out his scams with verve and attention to detail. Wu can't even be bothered to skim wikipedia before opening her big fat mouth and revealing she knows absolutely nothing about being a software engineer. Even leaving aside "base binary", anyone who has ever even worked tangential to the software industry would know whoever wrote that was full of shit. It's astonishing she gets away with this pose.
