I'm the person that made the icons.
Sorry to see that people aren't liking them; if people have some specific suggestions (and if Null's willing to change them again) I don't mind revising them some more when I have the time.

The biggest issue I had when making them is that they're all of such disparate things that it was difficult to make them look right alongside each other.

Feel free to leave opinions in the thread and I'll check back when people have had time to make suggestions (you don't need to sugar-coat anything, if you hate the ions feel free to say so and why).

Here's my autistic hot take:

First, the good. Vector graphics is obviously a nice thing, and they have a fairly contrasting color set which sets them all apart. Chunky shapes makes them easy to recognize at tiny sizes.

I think the thing for me that makes them feel "wrong" somehow is that they all seem a bit disparate, in a bad way. Some of them are more graphically detailed or have finer details than others, and the gradients all seem a bit haphazard.

If I personally was going to do something similar, I probably would have taken an existing icon set like Fontawesome or something, used the icons that exist, and adapt the same grid system / boundaries for the icons that don't.

tbh I'm pretty neutral about if as they are now they're """better""" than the old raster images, but the direction of big chunky bright images (I think) is a good step forward.

I appreciate your work, but I have some suggestions:
-The color of Feels looked better as a lighter pink/red not dark red
-Informative and Horrifying are too thin and should be made THICCer.
-Informative should be smaller too, to take up less space of the circle like the old one.
-The winner star in the medal should stand out more, IMO, it seems to blend in with the medal when viewing the small icon.
-The fingers on dislike and like make it kind of look tacky, i'd just keep it a solid color with the thumb

I know you spend a decent amount of time making these, and I hope I'm not being too much of an armchair critic.
But, I think its a good first step to work off of.

Whilst people are making suggestions, does anyone have suggestions for different colours for the thumbs up/down icons (it's weird them being the same colour).
Blue and slightly darker blue?

(While you're at it, might be a good idea to make informative cyan like Bootstrap's info colour or something to make it distinct too.)

Actually on further inspection I dislike the shading on the new ratings for like, dislike, winner, feels and islamic content. I'm not a graphic designer so I can't really describe properly how they are uncomfortable on the eyes. IMO they'd all be better with a flat color, if that makes sense?

Yeah, the only thing I'm not a huge fan of when it comes to the redesigns is the shading. It just makes it look like a bunch of sprites you'd find on some flash game from 2007.

I always thought dislike should be red, while like is blue, mainly so that they can contrast more easily.

On mobile these are great, on PC its alright. They could use some tweaking, like the "WINNER" icon with a bit more definition so it looks like the old one. and the "FEELS" being more pink than red but otherwise I like them.

Well at first I hated them. But I can see the ratings bar much better on this stupid mobile device I am currently marooned on. Before I was picking the wrong rating by accident all the time.

Yes, and I think it should be a neutral rating that doesn't affect score, but if you get enough compared to your other ratings , you get a banner that says "master baiter."

Maybe the like is green and the dislike red? That would mimic the agree and disagree though, so maybe Like can be blue and Dislike can be something darker like magenta? I dunno.

As for the rest, I do think I prefer the heart to be pink. Otherwise I like the larger size, you can actually tell what they are. Except deviant. I still didn't know what that was until I looked at the previous page and someone said it's Cowlick's smile. Looks like a piece of meat. Same with TMI, still not sure what that is. Though I have no idea what kind of icon should represent TMI so whatever. Doesn't really matter as it's just something you get used to knowing that icon is for that rating.

The difference with these new ones was striking, but I'll get used to it. Good work!

Is anyone else missing emotes from this list as well? Emotes like deviant, achievement and bunch others are missing for me when I just had them yesterday.
Also I really do appreciate the cleaner look the emotes have now but they are WAY too big, I know this is to combat how small they look on mobile but on PC the size is just ridiculously large.

Deviant, Semper Fidelis and Drink? are only supposed to be available for donators so I guess Null fixed that. Achievement is a mod only rating.
