I always chuckle when a tranny says “you can’t tell the difference between a natural vagina and a cosmetic one”. I just want to ask them if they’ve ever seen a vagina before but I know therein lies the problem for why they went tranny.
Then I think about those cosmetic surgery horror stories trannies post and I want to ask doctors what the fuck are they thinking?
I posted this in the Contrapoints thread, it's actually relevant to post here: Link to a scientific study on the reality of MtF "neovaginas"
On average 8.6 species were cultured per woman. The species most often found were: Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus anginosus group spp., Enterococcus faecalis, Corynebacterium sp., Mobiluncus curtisii and Bacteroides ureolyticus. Lactobacilli were found in only one of 30 women.
There was no correlation between dilatation habits, having coitus, rinsing habits and malodorous vaginal discharge on the one hand and the presence of a particular species on the other. There was however a highly significant correlation between the presence of E. faecalis on the one hand and sexual orientation and coitus on the other (p = 0.003 and p = 0.027 respectively).
To essentially summarize the report findings, they studied the microflora present in several dozen transwomen's neovaginas and found that it was consistent with the sort of bacteria you would typically find festering in necrotic wounds as well as in the digestive tract. What *wasn't* present was the microflora present in healthy, real ("natal") women's vaginas. Real vaginas (at least when they're in a healthy state) have primarily just lactobacilli present, and the natural physiological processes of this particular bacteria produces some amount of hydrogen peroxide that consequently keeps the organ free from other forms of harmful bacteria as well as at a stable, healthy pH level -- the organ is essentially "self-cleaning". When you instead have stuff like e. faecalis present (which btw, is named for the fecal matter it's normally found present in), you end up with a disgusting smelling ("malodorous", to use the technical medical term) situation that is to be expected when an unnatural body cavity has been made and isn't allowed to heal.
Vaginas aren't "just a hole", they're actually a collapsed space surrounded by muscle that, besides also being connected to a bunch of other reproductive organs than transwomen lack, have an extremely physiologically-important microflora balance that can't be replicated by surgery. It's just ignorant to make the claim that SRS comes anywhere near close to replicating the real deal. And this is before getting into the whole aspects of SRS causing nerve damage, a lack of sensation (or constant pain), not to mention a common side effect of SRS is never being able to orgasm again. And then there's other horrors associated with alternative techniques for surgery that involves using part of the digestive tract to create the neovaginal lining: doing so results in a hole that is constantly "weeping" a gross mucous discharge (which, needless to say is obviously not at all comparable to real vaginal secretions, despite deluded troons claiming otherwise).
It's surprising to me that people with a background in healthcare are willing to mutilate their patients in this way -- I guess the whole 'do no harm' part of the hippocratic oath is overlooked by these sorts of surgeons. If someone is absolutely deadset on living as a transwomen, they really ought to reconsider going ahead with bottom surgery, as the modern methods are not only poor aesthetic imitations of the real thing, but are quite literally physically unhealthy and disfiguring.
