I don't think that there is that much money in track cycling.

Not sure how current this is given his recent tenure.
Also the COC is called the UOC on this state site.

A raise basically always comes along with tenure, but a small one that gives the feeling of a thumbs-up more than anything substantial.I don't think that there is that much money in track cycling.

This is commensurate with the salary of my friends who are humanities professors at a large state university before they got tenure. Charleston is a significantly higher cost-of-living area than where my friends live.I don't think that there is that much money in track cycling.

Has Rhys ever discussed his immigration status? I'm guessing he must have a green card sponsored by College of Charleston; a work visa wouldn't seem to be sufficient for a professor who's ostensibly planning to spend his career in the US.
Looks like he did get a house. This is commensurate with the salary of my friends who are humanities professors at a large state university before they got tenure. Charleston is a significantly higher cost-of-living area than where my friends live.

Rhys makes another allusion to having a romantic partner:

He makes it seem like he bought a house with another person but willingly opted out of having demonstrable legal ownership (ie, a title with his name on it), but I'd bet he's misrepresenting the situation. The person he lives with probably already owned the house before Rhys moved in, or they're renting from a third party. Or else "our home" refers to him and his roommate.
Looks like he did get a house.

I'm not sure what a front disc wheel is but shouldn't a world champion cyclist be able to get one? Or get one from the tons of sponsors that he totally has?

Eh there are (expensive) ways to get around it, such as buying a house under a Trust you are a beneficiary of, or having a Lien or Mortgage listed on the Title with a company you own.Silly troon, doxing can't be stopped, only slowed down.
Also, only a sped would buy a house in someone else's name because they are scared of the internet. Legal ownership of the home is more important (if you're actually paying the mortgage), otherwise you are paying for someone else to accrue the equity with no guarantee that you can claim it later. If it is true he is a total fucking moron.
but... why is he here in the first place, if he hates the USA as much as he claims to?My Canadian academic buddies who took US jobs got more permanent sponsorships across the board, so yes, that assumption seems safe.
I wish. That said, I thought most tenured/tenure-track professors usually get housing through the college.
How strange he speaks of this when we were just speaking of it....
HI RHYS! You were born a man and you'll die mad, as a man.
Between the meds, the nuts he might've lost in surgery and especially the biking, that's a safe bet to make. He'll die of prostate cancer, i can feel it.
Rhys seems like the kind of guy who'd move in with someone who bought a house with an inheritance and/or decent job, treat it like a cheap rental by wearing shoes inside and putting filthy hands on the walls, do crappy ugly DIY that brings the value down.
You said it, mang. There's no way he's not on the deed of his own choosing.
I clicked through to the original Tweet when I saw this - zillions of responses from troons screaming "THAT'S NOT HOW BIOLOGY WORKS OMG!!!" "CIS PPL R STUPID!!!" etc etc. The sperm cake is silly but the basic idea is not wrong; I can't figure out what troons think the problem is. Maybe I should shut up and listen to "trans voices" on the topic so I can understand.View attachment 896522
I dunno. The sex of the baby is determined by the sex chromosome carried by the sperm.
Maybe Standpoint Epistemology tells us that baby are created from patriarchy?
