Long story short, Lupa started a movement that all but crippled Channel Awesome, and she’s refused to move on and let it die. Also, she and Brad Jones had their friendship end on pretty ugly terms.

You know, I appreciate the heads-up, but I can't follow all the lunacies of Channel Awesome and the unbelievably broken personalities that spawned there. What I'm mostly getting out of this is that Jack is showing incredibly bad judgment associating with this trainwreck.

Sorry, I should have linked to her thread (I've edited the post to fix that).
Basically she's a stereotypical SJW who makes pop-culture videos for Youtube where she talks about old films and TV shows. She used to be a contributor to Channel Awesome but spectacularly burnt bridges with them and started a controversy called "Change the Channel" where she and other contributors claimed that they were treated poorly at Channel Awesome.
She's a really bitter and toxic person.

Hopefully Jack's not in over his head here. People give him shit for being an annoying hipster so I try to give him the benefit of the doubt but Lupa is a pretty violatile person. I was thinking about making a joke about RLM imploding after they passed 1 million subscribers but I kept quiet to try and avoid jinxing it.

It's worth pointing out Jack has a lot of projects the rest of the RLM crew has nothing to do with. There's a reason he's considered a secondary member after Mike, Jay, and Living God Rich Evans. Hopefully the cancer stays around his bald head alone.

He's not quite that secondary. He was in the last Plinketto video, though I don't remember if he was part of the discussion. Basically he's the most frequent contributor after Mike, Jay, and Rich, ahead of Josh and the Canadians.

He's actually explicitly not a member of Red Letter Media (only Mike, Jay and Rich are).
He also isn't paid at all for his time on Best of the Worst (neither is Josh). They only pay him for when he does editing/VFX work for them (like with Space Cop).
He's also mentioned that he was unhappy that Jay and Mike had posters made that feature his likeness without his permission.
In that last link he jokes about having every Best of the Worst episode taken down because he never signed a legal waiver so that they could feature him (so AIDSMoby has a nuclear option over much of their content, or at least thinks he does). However, he states a little later that he probably couldn't do that because of "implied consent." So who knows.
He could probably cause them a fuckton of legal issues if he wanted.

I get the impression that there's a quid pro quo situation going on between Jack and Josh. Maybe Jay and Mike let them use the studio? It's also possible that they don't care about YT revenue since the majority of their income is from Patreon and merch.
