TGWTG Allison Pregler / Obscurus Lupa / Movie Nights - The vindictive leader of #ChangeTheChannel, GOTIS personified, vendetta against The Cinema Snob

She's done that in the past with getting all pissy about a few B films she reviewed. She's also tweeted out how she was the first to "discover" movies like Vampire Assassin and Two Front Teeth when RLM featured them (and did a way better job covering them).
I wonder if she’s ever tried to make that claim for The Room since some of Channel Awesome’s hardcore fans try to claim that Doug brought it to prominence even though his NC episode points out that Alison covered it before him.

Really once you're in the B Movie Fandom (for lack of a better word), you'll find stuff like Vampire Assassin and Two Front Teeth eventually.

It's all an eventuality. People are literally digging into the dumpsters searching for the next great undiscovered trash classic. And occasionally genuinely great stuff is found. But I wouldn't classify Allison as a B movie/Grindhouse/Exploitation/Whatever fan but more of an MST3K kind of faggot. Those kind of people don't venture too far into the B movie well and have a certain comfort zone they don't want violated. There's also an arrogance to them that I've noted. Genuine fans -most of the time because I can't speak for everyone- don't really want to laugh at someone's failure. The MST3K/Hipster types want to watch something with their 1000 IQ so they can feel superior.

Edit: fixed typos.

2nd edit: it really fucking pissed me off to see cocksuckers going to see the original Evil Dead during a revival run and relentlessly mocking it. Sure, there's 2-3 effects that didn't look great and the acting wouldn't win anyone an Oscar (Bruce himself would be the first to admit this) but as a horror film it still holds up extremely well and for a film made by a bunch of early 20 somethings it's fucking genius. The cocksuckers laughing at Evil Dead 1 couldn't hope to achieve anything remotely as good in their lifetime.

agreed. Although MST3K is far from awful imo, it attracts some of the most snobbiest people I've ever talked to.

edit 1:

Wait did she talk shit about Evil Dead 1?

That's true. I find something really charming about movies like Zombie Lake, Lair of the White Worm or Slugs. Yes they're so bad it's funny, but with a lot of those movies I just love that someone went through all that work to get it made and I enjoy it. Yeah Lupa did Tremors but who doesn't know about that. Not that Tremors isn't great but her reviews of them didn't really bring any thing new.

I have to wonder which review of Vampire Assassin came first Lupas or RLMs, because I wouldn't put it past her to get a lot of her movies from them.

I prefer Rifftrax more but I think that's because the writing is better and there's no sketches to interrupt the movie.

I went off on a tangent but I don't think she said anything about Evil Dead 1 but it wouldn't surprise me if she had a similar opinion of it. I just hate faggots like that.

I pointed this out around page 5 or 10. Something like that. She reviewed Vampire Assassin several years before the Best of the Worst episode. Her review is okay, largely because the movie is funny as hell and didn't need much in the way of commentary, but all the technical details the RLM guys noticed went over her head. Not to mention that the cunt didn't know who the legendary Rudy Ray Moore is.

Riffrax is great stuff too.

In regards to Evil Dead, I think she at least respects it because she mentioned Army of Darkness is her all time favorite film.

She did do a review of Evil Dead 2. She said it was what eased her in to horror movies because she hated being scared, so horror comedy was how she got in to it.

I wouldn't be shocked if she is bitter that it was Doug's review that got popular and received so much attention over hers. It isn't out of her character.

On a side note, I think it's stupid that Doug's fans think he brought prominence to the film. It had already been riffed by RiffTrax, Tim and Eric had Wiseau on an episode of their show and Adult Swim had already begun airing it on April Fools day. His review definitely did bring some attention to it, but it was another saga in the history of the reaction to the film instead of the main starting point of it all.

MST3K was great in the Joel and Mike years, but it (like everything that tries to appeal to woke hipster faggots) went to shit once that fat fuck Patton Oswalt and bargain bin Zoe Quinn Felicia Day sunk their grimy mitts into it.

Let's be honest, I wouldn't call it a good thing being on Tim and Eric's show, when you're stuck with those two unfunny hipster chucklefucks you might as well kill yourself or one of them.

Eh, I wouldn't say it was that great. When it comes to Joel & Mike years you still had hipster fans, combined with people only naming the more popular riffs (Manos, Monster A Go-Go, Mitchell! an etc), you won't really get fans bringing up lines from something like Warriors of the Lost World, Master Ninja, Red Zone Cuba or Invasion USA.

Am I the only one, who hates Doug for popularizing those fucking thumbnails, where a main character is replaced by a reviewer? (And the ones where reviewer is with stupid face in front of a movie poster, but that's not entirely his fault)

I wouldnt say Doug was the 1st who did it or even made it popular, this was kinda norm for something like LP chanells. Then it just jumped to youtube reviewers.

Doug´s original bumper stickers were at least well drawn and gave you an idea of the review's general feeling

Lupa's look like a classical case of "commissioned my friend over someone competent":
