Given the state of the series I would consider option 1 to be the lesser evil, even welcome it if handled by a writing staff that isn't as buttfuck incompetent as the current one. You can even keep most of the ideas but change the execution and still deliver something presentable if not good.

You may be right on that, however the company basically allowed her to do this rather than funimation kicking her ass to the door the moment she tries to censor and add woke shit to these anime. This sets the precedent for things to come, with that part of wokeness to be accepted by a large following of people.

Will anime dubs have actual good voice acting? Always felt anime dubs had weaker acting after shadier weirdos like 4kids vanished; as in localizers phone it in because there's nothing to prove anymore/dubbies standards are low enough to be "accuracy is the only thing that matters" and I refuse to subscribe to that mantra, purely because objectively bad dubs like Digimon Adventure and 4Kids Pokemon/YGO DM to GX put in SOME kind of effort.
