Here's a sneak peak from the D23 expo showing how the SW section will look like on Disney+.

Can you guess what the big shocker was? None of the OT films featured here are the de-specialized edition. They're all special edition and the de-specialized ones will not be available in any capacity.

Also as I'm writing this D23 finally unveiled its new IX footage... but its short. Horribly short. It shows that Rey has made a new lightsaber of her own. Its a double blade like Maul but with RED blades. Rey now wears edgy black robes and becomes evil.

It looks like something from Rebels for fuck's sake. This is seriously the poster they're going with?!

That poster should get me excited that Palestine is back. But at the same time, they’re going to cuck his corpse to death. I’m not sure if this panel is short than the other ones in the past, but whatever there was does not improve the interest for people.

Also, holy shit Disney+ looks more atrocious than I thought. The fact that they went with this structure is appalling.

If reshoots are still in progress without new footage, I suspect there won’t be a panel from the cast. Just some update from Iger or Alan Horn.


I strongly believe IX is a bigger nightmare of a production as well and yet the media aren’t reporting it like they should. I imagine there was a heated argument between Kennedy and JJ that caused the friction of the film’s tone and vision, which probably explains the reshoots.

Regardless, IX will fail to live up to the expectations that is crushing its shoulders.

I don't think Kennedy is much of a factor on IX, at this point. She lost her input when Abrams was brought back. I think Kennedy/story group were largely shut out. I think if there is an issue, its coming from Alan Horne or Disney execs.

Kennedy and co are still guiding the ancillary stuff though, I think...

The Kenobi series has the ptoential to be the best Star Wars related thing since RotS. Han Solo could feasibly have been a "dumb kid" before the OT, but as this is going to be set between the (real) trilogies, we already know he's awesome. If he's playing second fiddle to some generic woman and/or POC, it just wouldn't fit.

That poster should get me excited that Palestine is back.

JJ, Kennedy and Iger also talked about how Leia is a huge part in IX... So expect more corpse dangling.

Anthony Daniels is sad that this will be his last movie but claims fans will love the ending.

A 10 second clip show of a bunch of scenes from past films are shown which ends with a pic of Rey and Kylo fighting on Death Star remains, followed by a pic of evil Rey.

And a clip is shown of Rey being able to telepathically control her lightsaber and uses it to cut down a bunch of trees.

Yeah that doesn't make sense, the whole point of Sidious/Palpatine is that he never gets involved directly in his plans, he always uses someone to do the task.

Maul and the whole thing were better off not being in Rebels.

I agree. I think it shows how much nothing is really planned under Disney/LF, that they do things as they go along, perhaps based on someone's good mood. The fact that they've waited until now to finally take the decision to make a Obi-Wan feature says a lot and it's a mini-series for their streaming service.
They've wasted Thrawn, Maul and Kenobi's respective potential.

Gosh if only, but JJ Abrams just screwed the pooch and said that Rey and Kylo's relationship can be described as "Desperate". Now Reylos are going insane and the shipping flames have been fanned. Adam Driver didn't even show up to the IX panel out of fear of stalkers. Reylos are fucking nuts. Remember that when TFA came out there were dumb little 10 or 13 year old shippers who are now 15 or 18 and have never left that state of mind thanks to tumblr shit. So Kid fans of the ST combined with Twilight-type fans will ensure that the fandom is fucked and so is Adam Driver (even if I don't like his character or his acting, nobody deserves shippers).

My guess is the evil Rey is some sort of vision or related to the Rey/Kylo lightsaber force thing: creating alternate realities.

Its clearly baiting though. In context, its probably not that big of a deal. Otherwise, they wouldn't show it.

The sad, pathetic, thing are the shills and spergs getting excited over double bladed lightsabers and black clothing. Star Wars fandom is easily the most infantile and childish.

Someone snuck into the unfinished Kylo Ren ride at Galaxy's Edge (not my guy, I swear). Its not finished yet and they replaced Ackbar with a white do not steal.

Thing is supposed to be ready by December and its not even done yet, but they claimed that the biggest problem was getting the trackless carts to work right. Guess its true that this park will suffer from a lot of downtimes after it opens.

Looks terrible, I do find it funny how it encapsulates the ST though. Typically you want the biggest section to show the most important part, in this poster that's space Palpy, and while the eye is drawn to the fight due to colouring, it's also small and far away. People care about the old characters and don't give a shit about nuWars.

I don't know if it was ever confirmed, but we have to assume that's on Endor right? What are the chances that the Ewoks are all dead from it crashing into their planet and destroying the ecosystem? No more forest moon, instead we've seen tons of grassland, what could thrive in that environment... Porgs! Ewoks have always seemed to be special to George and i could see Disney doing this as a big fuck you (especially if the OT licensing rumors are true)
