I had to pull away from the livestream just before Nick shifted to the new info, so I just got it late and gay.
All I can say is that this is probably the least shocking complete shock I have ever experienced. Truly, I have never been more stunned yet completely nonplussed in my life. Its less shocking than say a revelation of Igor/Iagos identity, or news of a lawsuit against Nick.
I truly want him deposed again and completely raked over the coals.

Now, I doubt that Ron orchestrated all this for revenge against Vic, he doesn't seem (competently) machiavellian enough for it. I would place a bet more on that all this is is Ron trying to overcompensate for his actions. It's possible Ron was broken down with guilt/self loathing over this when he converted to soyism and is now sperging as some bizarre and sick attempt at atonement. The cliche of the feminist convert who used to be a misogynist then becoming the grandest white knight of "respecting women" is overwrought beyond belief.

Toye was and is an abuser, and this is him trying to in his own sick way make himself feel better, to convince himself that he isn't the loathsome shitstain he is by destroying another man who is better than him.

I do not see any evidence that this is all Ron with Monica and Jamie being tools/exploited. It is a vile man trying to destroy another man so as to try to cleanse his rotten soul by pretending to be a supporter of woman. The accusers have agency of their own, they are scum as well, just allies with ever worse scum playing at being less scummy.

Or who knows, maybe tomorrow Monica announces she is splitting from Toye and I look like an idiot. But pinning all this on one man seems far too convenient and simplistic for all this.

At least we all know Ron isn't getting any sleep tonight.

Explanation as to why Monica's TCPA is fucked (assuming the Judge is paying attention) -- because she had personal knowledge and the only other person who would have the knowledge is Vic. So Vic denying screws her, because all he has to do is deny it, and she has to prove it and can't.

And Marchi. Because she gave a detail that ONLY VIC AND HER KNOW. Which means if Vic denies it, the TCPA doesn't apply. And he did.

If the court considers Ron and Monica one defendant, then he's held to the standard Monica is -- i.e., only her and Vic would know what really happened, and Vic saying it didn't means she has to prove it did, and if she can't then it didn't, and since she would know by losing THAT she's shown to have lied about it.

  • Marchi and Monica: Their specific statements involve only two people each who would know the outcome. The way the TCPA is written and the way Fort Worth handles it means they're done. Either X is true and the TCPA doesn't apply, or X is false and they don't successfully meet the TCPA. They're fucked.
  • Funimation: They know the truth of the investigation. If th ere's ANY contact with an agency or employer relationship -- a clear and specific allegation of such -- they're fucked. And Scott Baretto, the Funimation social media guy, did an affidavit that states he watches all Funimation and VA r elated Social Media accounts like a hawk, but he didn't do AYTHING to correct the KickVic narrative. Which is because they needed it, so they let it go. Their TCPA is dead, too.
  • Ron (covered earlier): He's either tied to Monica's defense and fucked because of it, or he's fucked because of the 400+ tweets and him blatantly stating he didn't care about the truth of it.
Vic wins the TCPA motions unless the judge drops the ball -- and if he does, BHBH will immediately appeal.

My money is just on super dysfunctional communication about what actually happened between Monica and Vic. I mean, it's an abuse survivor and a fucking wife beater, they're going to have dysfunctional communication. Probably along the lines of some bit of info about Monica and Vic's past interactions slipped out, and due to the intimidation factor Monica felt that she needed the circumstances to make her a victim, then Ron went full sheepdog on it and didn't let it go and things just got out of hand.
