Has anything notable happened in the last few weeks? I stop watching for a while and suddenly there's 3 events in 1 week and a new detractor meme emote.

Nothing special sadly. It's the same shit over and over again. Seems like he will get fucked over, some secret donor shows up. Same story every time.
There is no more group like the SoK to shit on him, so it's just detractor streams causing retards to troll tip him.

Think he teased a few (pre?)streams ago that it was condo association related so either a meeting or he has to vote on something, not sure though?

Yeah he did. He was weird with phone / emails lately. About a week ago he went off stream for a while to deal with something, can't remember if call or email.

But either way, it's so cringe that his condo association has to email Mister edgyboy Philip, at darksydephil@hotmail.com, he needs a big boy email.

It is kinda funny, though not exactly surprising, that Phil doesn't attract more obsessive fans interested in dating him. Most less than desirable YouTubers/Streamers still manage to get a handful of fans who are weirdly attracted to them. Phil got Leanna, and if we're being generous and assuming there's actual attraction and not just gold digging/other ulterior motives, Khet. It is partly balanced out by him having paypigs who want to be his best friend, but rando uggo's on YouTube/Twitch usually have those too on top of the weird fans who want to bone them.

On a less disgusting note, Phil desperately trying to turn Jasper into a mascot is pretty funny. I don't know where he got it in his head that streaming mascots are a thing. Knowing Phil it is something someone did 5 years ago or something and he's only just now trying it, but I'm drawing a blank on any streamers who were particularly successful with a mascot. Maybe he's just taking the general YouTube animal video thing and trying to piglogic it into also being relevant to streaming? The closest thing to a mascot I can think on Twitch is streamers with specific emotes usually relating to something they're prolific for, like speedrunners having specific emotes tied to the games they run or Dark Soul streamers having a sunbro meme style emote, but those are just little perks, not main attractions to a channel. Phil is acting like Jasper is some high demand product and people are tuning in specifically to see him, because as we all know there's absolutely no other easy source of seeing a cat online.

the only reason I can think of for dave coming up with this whole mascot schtick, is that mascots were huge in video games, cereal, sports, television and movies in the 90's, so my guess is he's trying to emulate what he thinks is success

That's what we like to call a pretext. Has he ever mentioned any active participation in his neighborhood association? Nah. They're doing at least a day trip somewhere (probably Seattle again), and I'm giving at least 50-50 odds that it becomes an extended stay through the weekend. Just can't wait to see which excuse he tries to use. My bet is on a mysterious illness, with the coughs (@DankSydePhil ) starting up on Tuesday. Some "poor me" comments about how it will suck if he's sick for Kat's birthday, and so on.

Oh for sure, you can never count out a cover story being alluded to while what really is going on is hidden underneath the lie with DSP, I was just trying to relate what has been hinted from the source as to what the half stream day is supposedly stemming from. He has mentioned interaction with the association very rarely, but there has been references to it during I want to say a Blackout stream not too long ago. End of the month is usually where DSP will claim he's out of cash however and the beginning of the month means bills are due while Twitch payment is still a fortnight away, so in this case, can he even really afford not to try and rake in the tips that he says will help immediately every chance he has in the leadup to that? Maybe he's got another pet to reveal on a viewers choice stream for another save DSP from the overdraft and non-sufficient-funds charges drive so he can just cancel the whole day and make it up later though?
