The post using these images is one of the best examples of fair use I
could hope for. The person goes, in detail, to describe and criticize
your products and handling of third party intellectual property in a way
that is both fair and would absolutely require the images to make his point.

I believe in good faith the articles in contention are used fairly. Send

Now this is getting spicy. I never thought that the LEGO company of all things would try these underhanded tactics. How will they escalate it further from here?

Disney is terrifying and spiteful. Hoping they won't be able to bully people on the Internet.
I mean, what can they hope to even gain here? It's not like people are storming over here in droves to dig through a thread wherein a buncha autists lament the sorry state of Star Wars to see the super top secret Lego sets.
The fucking things come out in a little over a month. Two tops.
If 1776 tells them to fuck off the legal proceedings would take longer than the release date for the fucking sets!

It just seems like spite. My inner-tinfoil-hat-wearing-conspiritard tells me that Disney put them up to this as revenge for talking shit on their movies and dissecting the leaks in detail. But he's more autistic than I am, so I shouldn't read too much into that.

Fuck me, who would've expected that fucking LEGO Star Wars of all things might possibly be the catalyst to actual legal proceedings involving the Farms? Not that their allegations have any merit whatsoever, but they're certainly more formidable than whatever outrage the usual dregs of society can usually impart upon Null before he sends them skulking along their way.

Perhaps they don't want to be murdered by the mouse... or lose all of their likely critical contracts. They run Lego businesses at Disney locations and Disney properties likely make up a huge chunk of their income.

mfw the lego company is coming for us

The DMCA is the fucking bane of the internet. How the fuck did we get to this? I wish more people/services would take this path rather than bend over to the 'law'.
Theoretically the DMCA was supposed to be better than before, because if you file a false DMCA claim you're legally liable for damages. But in reality it's just turned into a nightmare of bullying from big corpo and little corpo because webmasters routinely cuck to them over clearly false reports which will never go to court because the job of censorship is completed by a middle-man.

I just noticed this part. That's the most retarded legal argument you could possibly make about this. In no way would this position ever be entertained by a court of law.

Absolutely, I get and somewhat agree the premise of it, but the wording of the DMCA has allowed it to be a guilty until proven innocent law, based on the fact that corporations wouldn't abuse the system.

The problem with this dwells from the fact that the internet, and the content on it, is essentially unmeasurable... How can you police that without automation. Ya can't! So organisations abuse it. So really I just hate these big orgz.

I love how they don't bother telling the ISP what they find to be infringment of their IP and just ask you to take action.

I would like to know how this guy felt when you didn't just reply with a firm no, but also included the link to the "infringing content" that they neglected to provide to you.
