What is so good about his statement is that it makes the recordings Nick played even more damning of the culture at Funi. A place where people hugged and kissed each other all the time, where there were no personal boundaries. And all of a sudden, they are now some puritans claiming hair pulling and eating jellybeans is some disgrace.

Also of note, Sony introduced a no hug policy when they purchased the company, which Chuck says was mocked by the Funi staff.

Every famous person does it. There's nothing wrong with it, and groupies are a thing so it's not like this is something new. As long as people consent to the activity and there is no ultimatitum or incentive given (I.e. A casting couch situation), even if other people find it shameful that they engage in these acts, it's not wrong. I mean ultimately you shouldn't be using your fame like that, but it's not wrong or illegal as long as there is consent freely given and no ultimatum.
